Good contract, and great job getting it done now, before the Jets extend Sauce GardnerTexan_Aggie said:

That is a lot of guaranteed money but he has earned it. Glad we locked him up.Texan_Aggie said:

saw it posted that this extension doesn't negate his current contract. Just secures him getting those 3 extra years meaning we still have year 4, the 5th year option and then these 3 years. Not sure if true but, would be great.
If the Texans pick up Stingley’s 5th-year option and add a 3-year, $30M APY extension, here’s how it breaks down:

🔹2025 cap hit: $11M
🔹Projected 5th-year option: $17M (1 Pro Bowl escalator estimate)
🔹Extension: $90M over 3 years

Derek Stingley Jr.'s new deal with the #Texans includes a fifth-year option that he was slated to receive in 2026. So, he's under the #Texans' contractual control for five seasons -- two from his rookie deal, plus the three-year, $90M extension reached today.

Alabama OG Tyler Booker will be a #Texans target in this upcoming draft & now has fallen out of the first in both Mel Kiper & Daniel Jeremiah’s mock drafts.

His combine testing could drop him but I believe the Texans would be thrilled with him at 25 still & would take him. pic.twitter.com/SslU3jv4Sr
Former Jaguars free-agent CB Ronald Darby is signing a one-year, $2.5 million deal with the Houston Texans, per source.

If all the LT's (Campbell, Membou, Banks, Simmons) are gone by 25 then I wouldn't have an issue with that trade.IrishAg said:Alabama OG Tyler Booker will be a #Texans target in this upcoming draft & now has fallen out of the first in both Mel Kiper & Daniel Jeremiah’s mock drafts.

Booker sliding in mocks, would love to grab him at 25 even if the draft pundits are moving him into the 2nd round.
Although if he is slipping, and if other OL start to look like they'll slip then this rumor would be very nice

SI has us trading 25 to New England for 38 and 77.
The #Texans recently restructured DL Denico Autry’s contract via @AaronWilson_NFL
— Jacob (@TexansJacob) March 17, 2025
Confirms that Autry will be on this team next year & he “expects” it to save them around 6-7M pic.twitter.com/E23JGHGAEo
I disagree. 25 to 38 is a long way to trade down, with only a mid-third rounder in return. Even if all of the LT's are gone, you can grab an instant starter at G or WR or maybe even TE. Not interested.Max Power said:If all the LT's (Campbell, Membou, Banks, Simmons) are gone by 25 then I wouldn't have an issue with that trade.IrishAg said:Alabama OG Tyler Booker will be a #Texans target in this upcoming draft & now has fallen out of the first in both Mel Kiper & Daniel Jeremiah’s mock drafts.

I wonder if we're looking at a trade or something? I don't think we're signing anyone in FA for big money at this pointMaxPower said:
Do we need more cap room in 2025? Doesn't seem like there is anyone else out there worth adding.

Cam Robinson is going to the #Texans on a 1-year deal worth up to $14.5M, per sources. He’s the new blindside protector for CJ Stroud. https://t.co/0X6FBFDZWy

PFF graded him as slightly above average overall (better pass pro). Better than rolling with an unproven second year.KTAG05 said:Cam Robinson is going to the #Texans on a 1-year deal worth up to $14.5M, per sources. He’s the new blindside protector for CJ Stroud. https://t.co/0X6FBFDZWy

Agreed, also gives us a lot of flexibility back at 25. So if they go BPA and it's not a OT, then we still have Robinson, Howard, and Fisher to battling to start next year.MaxPower said:PFF graded him as slightly above average overall (better pass pro). Agreed, they've pretty much laid down the gauntlet that no one is untouchable, everyone is going to have to work hard, and the front office is going to do what it needs to move this team forward.Mr.Bond said:
