The difference in the 2 is Romo was identified as one of the best and then paid as one of the best due to his demand. RG3 floated and took what he could get because he wasn't in demand. Doesn't make him good or bad based off that, but the markets for each are wildly different.

I think different people want different things from the person in that role. Casuals want something different from folks who follow football closely. The best to ever do it somehow meld those together, which is insanely difficult.

I think Romo is trying to figure that out (and likely being directed to change) because he was too technical during his early years. And again I'm not defending him as much as I think some of the **** he takes is just weak easy nonsense.

Romo knows his stuff, but he talks too much. He also talks before thinking about what he is saying. The last play cracked me up, Romo states, "NE took a super risky play and it paid off. " Really? It was a QB run. But less talking and more analysis would be good.

Fair point. As we now transition into Brady time. A color guy who really struggled last year as a rookie but I've come to enjoy listening to this year.
