I've caught a few Pokemon just at my apartment. Walked around the complex some too but I think the building messed with the signal and I didn't find anything. The avatar wasn't moving right.

Anyone else see this problem in buildings?

To catch more will I need s better signal?

Signal in buildings is a little sketchy. In my house my avatar moves about 20' in every direction over time. I don't think it'll affect your catching ability.

What I have noticed is that someone in our group is always a few seconds behind the others. Sometimes the androids are lagging and sometimes the apples.

Sister and I drive around pwning gyms together. We stopped at a lure with 1 other car earlier and by the time we left there were 7 other cars at 11pm at a closed game stop.

This game is going to be hell on police trying to figure out if these late night cars are doing drug deals or playing pokemon.

Finally hit Level 5... how the heck do I battle? There are 2 gyms near my apartment but when I tried to go there I was BTFO in about 10 seconds.

My game also crashes every time I encounter new or rare Pokemon... all I can get is garbage like Weedle, Caterpie and Rattata. The game is a frustrating experience so far haha.

This is what finally got me playing pokemon. I am actually looking forward to going on a long walk tomorrow. Found 6 tonight just walking on the sidewalk by the hudson trail. Going to check put veteran park tomorrrow. There are 2 gyms within a mile of me.

Works horribly in buildings. Haven't been able to get to a gym, level 9 and even have a 540 and 480 cp pidgeot/flareon. Want to take one over!

They're a good way to grind xp. Gets you dust, which becomes badly needed at higher levels. Easy 500xp when you evolve them, toss In a lucky egg, you're getting 1k a pop.


But yes, they're not exciting.

Currently level 12 (whoop).

Have controlled one gym (Central market in Fort Worth)

Have evolved a pidgey all the way to Pidgeot
Evolved Eevee into Jolteon
Evolved rattata into raticate
Evolved zubat into golbat
Evolved weedle into kakuna
Evolved doduo into dotrio
Evolved krabby into kingler
Evolved venonat into venomoth

Rarest finds are pinsir, flareon, meowth, and tangela

Saw and lost a bulbasaur and a alakazam to servers going down

For some reason I've been running into fire Pokemon near the lake. Growlith, Arkanine, and 2 Ponyta. I'm not complaining though.

How do you get more Pokeballs? I tried interacting with gyms in the same fashion as Ingress, but I can't seem to figure it out.

Maybe part of it is that the game isn't stable enough to put any significant time in yet.

They are at pokestops, not gyms (though maybe also gyms? I just started so I can't go to gyms yet). They are the blue squares on your map (at least mine are blue) that turn into a circle when you get close to them. Click on the circle, a pic from your location pops up and spin the picture.

So my deep in the woods gym seems to only have one leader there and his Pokemon is over 700cp. I'm guessing that's the default if none have taken it over yet. Most others I have seem have multiple pokemon stationed and more reasonably leveled pokemon. GGood think I can use like 8 against one.

Higher level does help, luck plays a role because cp is random.

Mainly I've levelled them with candies, especially the pidgeots. The eveelutions are their base stats because I'm trying to get all 3 evees. Still need flareon.

Urban areas are best. Places like walmart and heb end up having lots of pokemon. Public parks with multiple pokestops are also great.

Just Eevee. In the game/magna you had to use a fire water or lightning stone to see which of the three she could become.

Anyone else pissed that gyrados is like 400 candies. I've still only seen one magikarp
