Lions have huge home ranges that they travel. If it decides to stick around say goodbye to @ 1 deer per week, they can desimate a population in a hurry. We looked at a lease near Abiline that had a pair of lions on it. They had killed almost all of the deer on his place and finally moved off before he could kill them. He found a cave in a steep draw that was full of bones and deer remains.
ok.... the tail doesn't disappear completely into the grass. it's cajones are way too big to be a cat. it has mane on the front two legs and neck. some of you must not know what aoudad really look like to just completely blow off that idea. this picture is not very detailed at all and you can hardly tell, but that is an aoudad. someone needs to go take pictures of the hoof prints in the mud by that feeder.
Well it's a crappy photo with very distorted edges even in the second daylight deer photo. It has ears like a cat...no beard...the tail does go all the way to the grass unless you assume his right hind leg ends at the grass and the nut sack I assume you are talking about is the inside flank of it's left hind leg distorted by the tail.
There are a couple of high fenced places in that area. They've got some exotics in them. We've had this place for 20+ years. I've seen one aoudad in all that time. It was about two years ago and was the biggest, nicest trophy you will ever see. I'm pretty sure it had gotten out of someones high fence. It just stood in the road looking at me for a few minutes then casually walked off into the brush.
That is not nuts in that pic that is light colored fur on the inside of the leg. Tail is way past joint in leg (aoudad tail ain't close to that long) and I think it does go into the grass. That is not the tip that is circled there.

this is all at the same feeder...we have several other feeders that they come too as well..although it is prolly still the same group or herd of them showing up at all the feeders cause our place is small
