A cat would be lower, and longer, and shoulders would be even with pelvis. The back legs would have a MUCH more pronounced bend in them, closer to 90 degrees instead of about 35 degress. A mountain lion tail would be more pronounced, and it would attach higher on the rump. The forelegs would be thicker, as would the lower back legs.
I think that there's just too much inconsistency, upon closer examination, for it to be a lion.
The head was furthest away from the flas, and has the least definition. Perhaps it just didn't stand out against the dark background. You just caught the white of one ear, and that's about it.
