Was that kid even wearing a life jacket? Or was it just a tank top?

Hey we used to jump the bridge at the first crossing and body surf the standing waves when canyon was releasing a ton of water. Good fun.

You ever break into the tube chute at night to swim? Going through the chute in the dark with no tube or anything was pretty fun. Never occurred to us to wear a life jacket, but in hindsight, probably should have

yeah, usually just hop in from the stairs opposite the golf course. Going through the tube chute without a tube was always a good time anyways. The rock at the end to the left could t be forgotten. And sometimes slamming into the wooden batten walls at the far end wasn't fun either.

When the flow was normal we would tie a ski rope to the bridge at the first crossing and ride the concrete slabs between the piers of the old bridge on a skim board. There was usually an ankle deep film of fast moving water you could ride.

We had over 1.5" near Concan yesterday afternoon. The dry Creeks have water in them again, thank goodness!

Ever since this thread got stickied, I never think about it anymore. Seems to be nearly dead at this point.

Weird huh. I genuinely never look at stickies and just realized that.

Just put out some more grass seed. If the dome activates it's my fault.

It didn't and I didn't think it would, but it was too good of a picture of the dome to not share.

My folks live on the western side of Angelo and have gotten around 8" in the last few days. OC Fisher has caught a ton of water it sounds like.

Anybody have a rainfall total between Big Wells and Batesville? Radar looks like we got some but not a ton.

That's a great site. And it looks like I'm in the clear.

I use CoCoRaHS - Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network but it's basically updated once a day first thing in the morning.
