Yes I am in Comfort. Multiple blackhawks up and down river today. DPS helicopter landed in town and was on ground for maybe three minutes and then took off headed back towards Kerr

Agreed, I think everyone is just so desperate for positive news that they are clinging to anything that appears reputable, praying that it turns out to be correct.

The AK Guy and Donut Operator are raising funds to rebuild the Center Point Volunteer Fire Department which lost everything except for it's trucks. I love seeing people use their platform for exceptional things like this!!

I can tell you that the search is getting really tough at this point. You have acres of debris fields that can be 10 plus feet thick. There is everything you can think of in these piles including dead wildlife. This complicates things immensely.

The guys that are out there right now are pros and are trained to handle what they will find.

I want to strongly discourage anyone from self-deploying and heading out into the disaster area.

There are a number of ways that you can help out. However, your presence in a disaster area without the proper training can be a real hindrance.

We have a huge number of the best in the world at what they do taking this mission on.

Lainey Landry's family has now also confirmed her remains have have been identified.

Lila, Janie, Sarah, Renee, Eloise, Anna Margaret, Linnie, Lainey, and Wynne were all Bubble Inn cabin mates. This leaves four Bubble Inn girls (Molly, Ellen, Abby, Mary) and two counselors (Chloe and Katherine) who are either still missing or whose families have not confirmed they have been found. There is speculation that one counselor and at least one other Bubble girl have been found, but this is not confirmed so I will not name them.

Still no children from Twins or any other cabin have been positively identified (at least publically) as perished. There is also one little girl, Greta, who is 10 years old whose school and family have held vigils for her. A FB comment suggests she *may* have been in the Jumble Inn cabin, which makes sense as she seems older than the Twins and Bubble girls.

Praying this somehow means these girls are together alive somehow, somewhere.

Those lost are being welcomed by our Loving Savior. HE is hugging each one.

The UGRA already has an annual river cleanup the last weekend in July. I have no doubt they will be needing volunteers for this event and other river cleanup events in the near future.

I just created a TexAgs account after following this thread intently the last couple days. I am not an Aggie, but my father is and I have many fond memories at Kyle Field and appreciate the Aggie network. It truly is one of a kind.

Like many of you, this story hits home for me. I have two sisters who were campers/counselors at Camp Mystic in the past and one of my nieces was at Camp Mystic on the 4th and was evacuated by a helicopter and thankfully is safe.

I live in the Austin area and am eager to volunteer this week in any capacity. I understand the need to keep it to the professionals right now, but I just joined Team Rubicon and am hoping they join the efforts soon.

I truly appreciate all of the information and compassion this thread has displayed. It has been a huge help. I also appreciate the information on volunteering opportunities.

My wife's friend's daughters were at Mystic and in the older girl cabins. They just posted a video of the girls being evacuated by bus to the elementary school where they were picked up a couple days ago. Video shows the girls singing "It only takes a spark..you want to pass it on" as they film the destruction while leaving camp. Then they cross the bridge with the still raging water and there's a moment where they all realize how fortunate they are and pray for those still missing. I mean …wow.
