I've been here a few times and this place sucks. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Ever.

Pretty incredible.

Note, there is an option on the Mini to split out the 2.4 and 5 ghz networks. After I did this and connected to the 5ghz my speeds got crazy good.

I have had a residential plan for over a year. Starlink is in the process of sending me a mini for free. Will be charged $5 a month. I will be able to activate to other plans when I want (turn off/on). I plan to set up in my rv

My brother offered the same.

I just got the same offer and ordered the free mini. $5/month for shtf backup at home was too hard to pass up!

PSA for anyone with existing an existing residential Starlink - check your email to see if you got the offer as well. Google says they generally make these offers for customers >1 year, but I just set ours up in March.

Can the mini be used for home use out in the country?

I think your range with the mini inside of the house with exterior and interior walls is going to be the limiting factor. I'm sure it will work just fine in the area(s) adjacent to the antenna but doubt it permeates through the whole house. Don't know for sure though…

The mini has a built-in router, if you set it up outside you probably run into coverage issues inside as previously.mentioned. You would can howerever turn off the built-in router and use your own router located in the house.

You can run a CAT6 cable from the mini to inside the house and set up just about any wireless router that way. Or buy Starlink's proprietary mesh nodes to extend into/throughout the house. They aren't very pricey.

Cheaper to run the standard Starlink at $120/month vs the roam unlimited data for the mini at $165.
