Starlink Mini has been on sale for ~6 weeks at $299 down from $499. The Starlink website now shows the regular price as $299 and on sale for $229. This is an incredible deal for remote/backup/SHTF internet access.

I love mine. I keep it on the $10 10gig plan and pull it out as needed. Then on trips upgrade.

Not an option to move back to the $10 plan if you change plans. $5 standby or $50 a month plan are it

Really wish they had a monthly plan that was competitive with cable internet. Last I looked for Houston it was still $150+/month

Will y'all please educate me on this? I am as tech illiterate as they get, so explain like I'm a five year old. For the home setup, is this something that I would buy online and set up myself or is this something that various companies set up? For the home setup, I'm assuming you purchase the hardware online and then the monthly fee? This would be for my elderly mother's rural home. I do understand that it isn't the mini that she would need so please accept my apologies for the slight derail.

I have had a residential plan for over a year. Starlink is in the process of sending me a mini for free. Will be charged $5 a month. I will be able to activate to other plans when I want (turn off/on). I plan to set up in my rv
My brother offered the same.

I can't figure out where the $40 a month plan works. I've put in a few different addresses, and none of those work, so I guess it really doesn't matter, but I'm still curious as to the applicable areas. Also curious if it's some kind of government program that kicks in or something else.

so zero issues streaming YouTube TV and similar apps? I'm assuming you connect TV to starlink WiFi to enable any of your enrolled Tv appskyledr04 said:

Their website shows the standard at 279 and the mini at 229. What is the advantage of the standard's dish/array if you are comparing a 50MB plan? It's twice as large, does it get better connectivity or something?

Yes the STARLINK mini outputs its own WiFi signal and it has zero issues running regular streaming or apps. I have had multiple kids streaming different things without issue.
