Made it to the ranch about 2 I think. Unloaded, shot our bows, and headed out about 3. Turned some good deer up, but no management deer yet. Cousins is going to hunt one of the bucks we saw, so we will start glassing there in the am. Season doesn't start till Friday
It looks really dry in these pictures. Flagstaff has had 60 inches of snow. The last 3 months in Phoenix are the wettest in recorded history. I drove the back road from Queen Creek almost down to Tucson across the Gila River reservation yesterday and it's as green as can be. I thought pretty much all the state had gotten lots of moisture since September. Is it dry NW of Prescott?
It has been apparently. They did get some snow last week and rain (somewhat) recently that dumped some water back in the tanks. Still moisture in the ground, which will be good when the cat guys get here
Nice brisk 27 degrees outside. Those 2 days of travel absolutely wrecked me for some reason. I was falling asleep driving back to the house yesterday. Got 9 1/2 hours last night and I'm ready to rock
I'm about to get up and cook breakfast for the guys that are here, and we're going to head out about 7. Gonna try to get eyes on the buck from yesterday, and see if we can't turn something up for me to go after
All the rest of the hunters will be here today. Hoping to do some more shooting at lunch, as I don't shoot well enough yesterday to confirm much, I was too wore out.
Also the cook will be here today and she ain't too rough on the eyes.

Looked up the ranch, looks like a guided management hunt on landowner tags.
