This may sound very simple, but you should probably sit at the sand stand several hunts in a row…

I've sat at that stand 75% of my hunts so far. The aoudad are just incredibly smart and sensitive to pressure due to us laying the wood to them for the last 7-8 years. Unfortunately, tomorrow morning is my last hunt (I think)

It's so incredibly annoying but I don't blame them. I've probably shot 30 of them in the last 6-7 years, maybe more.

Then you clearly need to start bathing with the "99% effective based on a Rutgers University study" soap before your hunt and soak your clothes in oak wood smoke in the yard the night before. I kid….

I'm 100% in the camp of "God will make it happen" during hunts. I've gone a season where I only hunted one stand and got skunked. I've had seasons where I went all in on scent control and wind and settled for non-targets.

This year, I went to a pop-up I put up 5 days before bow season and sat with no scent spray, a camo shirt and jeans and my bow. Got my target buck.

I'm in the camp of ride out the same spot as long as new bucks aren't popping up on other cameras. The odds will win out eventually. Vegas.

I eat hogs, depending on their size. I won't touch an aoudad, despite trying several times…

Got my 84 year old dad in a stand down here in Duval. As I'm dropping him off I ask if he has his phone. No. LOL

Finally some good deer hunting weather down here for a couple of days. Supposed to be 87 again on Friday.

Oh dude! Enjoy that as long as you can. At Thanksgiving my Dad started handing over guns to my son. I had to leave the room to get control of myself. Didn't know what he was doing until I walked in on him opening the safe.
