Someone at the station needs to have an intervention with Sophia about her fingernails. She can't hold a microphone properly because of them.

I'm looking forward to their extensive coverage on the parade today for 250th Birthday of the world's greatest Army ever.

One article on the website, quickly dropping down the page, but plenty of coverage of the astroturf protests.

Even interviewed the professor who was behind the group which defaced Sully.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

It's not from Hwy 6 in Bryan. The Brazos Co portion is already complete. It's from the Brazos Co line to the W limits of Madisonville. One wonders if the reporter drove to Madisonville for the story …. There is clearly zero editorial oversight of their reporting in the news room. Every day is full of sloppy college freshman errors.

Of course the flooding in the Hill Country is "climate change" and the only solution is to give up more of our money. /eyeroll

KBTX weather is still a joke.

Edit: I will add that during local severe weather events, they do a good job keeping the public informed.

Over a foot of rain fell in the worst possible location at the worst possible time.

Shel and Max, please tell us who is to blame for that?

Both "graphs" are curves not straight lines. Shel needs to go back to statistics 101.

Didn't all that rain come as a result of storms moving into Mexico (can't recall if it was one from the Pacific side or the Gulf side).

Max is just Shel v2. Warm core lows stalled out over the hill country have always caused serious nocturnal flooding every decade or so and will continue to do so. It's nothing new - tragically unfortunate, but nothing new. The new part is trying to blame it on climate change.

Normal people call it "weather". People with an agenda call it "climate change"

Hopefully max will leave soon to go chase the climate change hoax like shel did. Of course I'm sure the next person will fall right in line lake max and shel. Disappointed you can't even watch the weather anymore without being lectured.

Agree about lecturing. Would be way more interesting to hear about warm core lows vs cold core lows and how they are different and how getting detached from upper winds causes heavy rain events … but alas it's not to be.

I honestly doubt they could tell you the difference. They just look at computers for their weather info, no real knowledge.

Why don't you contact Atmospheric Sciences and ask the folks there? I know them pretty well and they are cheerful and would be happy to explain what they do and teach.

KBTX has been flat wrong on the weather for the holiday weekend. Said it was going to rain in the morning and clear out by the evening and it does the opposite. Nothing for today and it rains all day. If you rely on a computer to do your job for you and only parrot what it says, you don't require a paycheck.

Follow the dollar on climate change. Luckily, I don't hear "climate change" or "pandemic" too often. However, last night on the KBTX firework pre-show, "pandemic" was mentioned. I was actually waiting to hear it. Max and another gentleman did a little pre-show before the drones started. I almost turned off the TV.

I don't ever watch TV for the current or future weather info. The Weather Channel app, or whichever phone platform you choose, is always updated with the latest data, but even there I've seen the chance of rain be way off during the course of a few hours during the day...but at least there's no talk about pandemics or climate change.

Y'all are just punishing yourselves watching local prognosticators. But I guess it allows one to get on TexAgs and vent about something.

Construction workers predict the weather better than any of these paid guys. He may go the way of the Maryland girl that called the new DC hire a murderer. What did this guy have to say about the hurricane in North Carolina and those victims? Or screw them, the illegals needed that money.

I'm not sure people who hang out here are aware of how this site is viewed in the wider world. If I received an anonymous email at work with TexAgs in the subject heading, zero chance I would open it, as I assume it would be laden with expletives and death threats.

If that assumption is correct, then no real need to send him links to here I would think.
