Wow - tonight at 6 first 5 min featured Rusty with no clue where he was going - live shot vs reporter I'm guessing. Then Travis Brown came in and seemed unprepared to talk about his early hit. Finished up with reporter Moreno talking about game day and misreading (or someone pulled a Ron Burgandy on her ) with "communally " substitute for commonly when talking about Penberthy Rd. They need a debrief after that ….

I didn't see tonight's newscast but recently it seems like their scrolling monitor must be messing up. More herky-jerky than normal.

KBTX is the boot camp for tv reporters (and hosts). The good ones go on to larger markets.

They need to do something about all the cackling from Karla and Kaleigh in the mornings. It's getting almost unwatchable in the mornings. Now that they have the new guy, Kaleigh needs to stay in the weather center and stop trying to be a news anchor.

So much truth to this, and I'm glad someone mentioned it because they laugh at everything. Karla seems to have a personal opinion about a lot of things, and it's just getting old. We rarely turn KBTX on in the mornings, but it's a pleasant relief when someone is filling in.
I miss Mike Wright and Orelon Sidney when they were on BVTM.

Rusty did provide an update on the situation this morning.
It was nice watching yesterday morning. No ridiculous or unnecessary cackling and no personal opinions/ views on everything. It's always so nice when Karla and Kaleigh are off.

Rusty gets more insufferable daily on social media. I wouldn't even consider spending my advertising budget on KBTX with him there - and I have committed significant dollars to them in the past. Yeah he was totally unbiased with his rainbow hearts on X. This was about people for traditional marriage with signs.
