Thought he might want to read the room but it seems he doesn't. He's more interested in making a political point than knowing the truth. Oh well…

KBTX has been flat wrong on the weather for the holiday weekend. Said it was going to rain in the morning and clear out by the evening and it does the opposite. Nothing for today and it rains all day. If you rely on a computer to do your job for you and only parrot what it says, you don't require a paycheck.
Some of us, including myself, probably needed to step away from the keyboards over the weekend. Not calling you out in any way.Muzzleblast said:
Guess he's a bit thin skinned over this.
I worked recovery in the total disaster in Bandera after the hurricane in 1978. I think there was about 27 deaths then. There has been damage from hurricanes in the Texas Hill County for decades and probably for 1,000 years or more. Also work on Katrina recovery. They had zero to do with any possible climate change,Rapier108 said:
Seriously Max...Compounding this with upcoming lack of funding for climate and extreme weather research, we’re not only going to see more events like this, but they’re going to be harder to predict, too. https://t.co/5dvxeSpCoW

Of course the flooding in the Hill Country is "climate change" and the only solution is to give up more of our money. /eyeroll
KBTX weather is still a joke.
Edit: I will add that during local severe weather events, they do a good job keeping the public informed.

It works both ways. shel and max need to learn to read the room before pushing out their agenda.FlyRod said:TyHolden said:Some of us, including myself, probably needed to step away from the keyboards over the weekend. Not calling you out in any way.Muzzleblast said:

Very good advice. So many on social media out to "angry up the blood." Go fishing, play with a puppy, treat your partner to a nice dinner out.

Again, depends on what you think "the room" is. It's not this platform.
Lol, no. I neither watch them nor follow them online, other than the weather app. I just find it odd how obsessed people get over a small town weatherman, whose online posts can be easily ignored.Jbob04 said:
You clearly have an attachment to kbtx. You defend every single kbtx person that is brought up on this site. Interesting and annoying at the same time but based off your political posts, it's easy to see why.
That sounds a lot like what I heard during the covid shut downs, masking up, and social distancing.Quote:

Rusty couldn't wait to mention COVID tonight at 6 and 10 when he introduced this story despite the fact that the reporter (Donnie T) and the medical professional in the story never mentioned it. I'm sure he has a Fauci bobble head.

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - The first day of school is here, and while students are reuniting with friends and filling classrooms, local health experts say germs are also back in session.
Brittni Lehde, a pediatric nurse practitioner at HealthPoint in Bryan, said the return to school often means an uptick in sick visits after the slower summer months.
"During the summer, everyone is vacationing, and they're not in a classroom filled with 25 kids. Now we're all coming back together. The kids are excited, they're hugging each other, they're playing with each other, and they're just in close contact," Lehde said.

Anyways, yes COVID is going around. It does each year. Like the flu or cold. And if you paid attention I said it’s COVID, stomach bug, flu and much more crud all going around.

Posted one hour ago. I'm deceased (not from germs mind you).
ETA: The irony of him calling EBrazosAg a "keyboard warrior", turning off comments, and then claiming that he lives rent free in the heads of people on TexAgs when he's the one smashing F5 on this thread and then posting about it demonstrates one of the greater bits in lack of self-awareness I've ever seen.
