I spent $30 at Pluckers last weekend and Anchor Bar wants the same thing today! Outrageous. I don't know what economy they're living in, but I'm going back to WingsNMore! $12.99 for the wing & tender combo! Plus, WingsNMore has the best blue cheese ever!

$14.02 for the Wing and Tender combo with an extra blue cheese at the Wings N More Express on Villa Maria! No tipping needed! I can eat here for half the price AND get a soda! I had water at Pluckers. Eat local. It's far superior, the nostalgia of new corporate places wears off fast when the economy is this bad!

What'd you order for the $30? Just want to know what I'm missing out on. I remember boneless wing combos at Pluckers being nearly $20 for the "monster" but it's been years.

Doesn't Burger King have wings now? They're probably cheap.

Since I left CS in 2001, I visit Wings and More on almost every single return trip. This past week, we (myself and tribe of 10 folks) were served way over cooked wings and broken and over cooked curly fries at the South CS location. The overall portions have gotten smaller (except wing count) and prices are still high for what you get. Regardless of cost the wings sucked!!! Not sure I am going back. Looking for recommendations.

That's notoriously the worst location. Used to live near it.

10 wing combo and it came with a tiny side of fries.

Just checked the online menu. The 10 wing combo is $20.75. Add a beverage, tax, and tip , it's definitely close to $30.

Wings 'N More may be cheaper, but their wings are very small and overcooked. Like leather.

But yes, the blue cheese is the very best.

If I could take their blue cheese to almost any other wing restaurant, it would be a better experience.

I'll never understand the obsession with Wings N More in this town.
Most overrated restaurant.
They close down in other towns lol and here they are constantly packed.

Went to anchor bar during the game Saturday night so it wasn't very crowded.

Food was delicious. Wings were big and the sauce was flavorful. It's 1 sauce per 10 wings so the wife and I got two different sauces and split it. They have Italian food as well and burgers, toddler got kids spaghetti and he loved it the red sauce was great.

Between Pluckers and Anchor Bar we will never go back to Wings n More they both blow it out of the water at every level.

Same, though I admit there are better wings in town (I rarely see people talk about the wings at Koppe Bridge but I like those a lot). They have lots of other great things, though. Their chicken stripes are great and I dip those in their hot sauce with garlic and parmesan. Their tilapia is pretty good as are their wraps, ribs, and pickle chips.

I haven't been to Pluckers here but when we went back when we lived in the Austin area, we were highly unimpressed. Haven't tried Anchor Bar, yet.

As a life long resident, I would be grateful if folks started to frequent other wing restaurants other than wings n more. Also, Koppe Bridge is harrible.

Went to Anchor Bar for lunch the other day. Had the spicy garlic Parmesan wings. Definitely had garlic flavor but the "spicy" part was completely non-existent. It was a $25 lunch bc fries do not come with the wings. 10 wings was $17 and the fries were a $3 add on. The service was good and the manager checked on us, but I'm not sure I'll be back. It wasn't bad, but didn't really stand out at all.

That's normal at wings n more, tiny overcooked wings. I keep trying it because everyone on here raves about it, but it's always the same.

wish these places opened five years ago. inflation has me out on a $30 wing dinner.

Haven't been to Pluckers or Anchor Bar here yet, but the reason I like WnM is exactly because of the smaller wings.

Any place with larger wings almost always have 3 main issues: 1) soggy, undercooked skin; 2) poor skin to chicken ratio; and 3) poor sauce to chicken ratio.

For those complaining about overcooked wings at WnM, the chicken is not overcooked, it's just called crispy skin … which is what wings are supposed to have.

For those complaining about the amount size of wings, I'm supposing you want more volume/weight … so just order more wings. You'd still probably be cheaper than either of the other places.

At wings n more, order your wings stage 3. That means, they don't cook them to beef Jerky.

You'll thank me.

Pluckers' wings are close to the same size as Wings N More. So not worth the double price. I like all kinds of wings, but with current inflation and everything skyrocketing including my rent a $30 dinner is just not feasible.

Wife and I have both had Pluckers and Anchor Bar the last couple of weeks. Pluckers was good, but nothing special to us. Anchor Bar will definitely get our wing business for a while. Big, crispy outside, juicy inside wings. We splits wings and a small pizza and both were excellent.

Wings n more used to be my favorite place to eat but man they have gone downhill since Covid. Their wings are so small and overcooked, and the portions have gone down as well.

Plucker's wings are MUCH larger than WnM. I fill up with just 5, no way I could solo a 10 wing combo. My wife and I usually split a 10 wing combo so the cost is not too bad for us. My wife and I split 15 for lunch a few weeks ago and neither of us was hungry at dinner so that was a bit too much.

Angry Elephant is good but only comes in a 10 wing with no sides included.

Twin Peaks has pretty impressive wings as well.

I loved WnM before I got spoiled by the other places in town that are much better.

Been eating at WnM on University for years…. Usually every 10 days or so, it's our definite go to spot. Love their Happy Hour prices. We've had pretty much everything on their menu. Love their Santa Fe salad and wing n tender combo. Hot garlic lemon pepper for the win!!

I can't have gluten, so WnM is out for me, but I didn't really like them much before I knew I couldn't have gluten.

I love Pluckers. Anchor was on par, but the Garlic Parmesan sauce didn't have enough garlic or punch to it. I wish they would do 5 per sauce, but they only do 10 per sauce. I'll try it again, but will lean toward Pluckers for now.

I'll have to try out Agry Elephant, if I can.

I've been a Pluckers fan for over 20 years. It will always have my heart and, now that there is one here in BCS, it will get my money.

That said, Carney's has some great wings. They're huge and you can ask them to cook a bit longer to crisp up the skin some more.

Whatever you don't, don't order the bone-in wings at Zaxby's. Absolutely inedible.
