Sounds like if you have interest in what goes on in Millican, you should attend. I'm not sure what the rest of it has to do with this topic.
The Millican Dam project has been in the news since the early 1960's. These maps are from the 1965 and 1975 Eagle: https://ibb.co/Mgg0kYRhopeandrealchange said:JP76 said:

Also wasn't there talk of a millican reservoir being built for water supply in the past ?
After the embarrassment local folks put on the State and the Brazos river authority the last time they tried to push the Millican Reservoir I can't imagine that will ever see the light of day again.

Dear Millican,
Welcome to South College Station.

All great points! To expound on Nettles, he is also a lawyer, so hopefully he gives the judge a lesson on this. We can only hope.Koko Chingo said:

FWIW, I checked the ERCOT interconnection queue and Silver Spur Energy Center, LLC has filed for a BESS interconnection study with the POI location as TAP BRYN_WBRN (BUS #32895) - MILL_SW138 (BUS #32856) 138 KV LINE. That just means somewhere along the line between the Millican Station and the one that's just northwest of Millican Reserve.ElephantRider said:
Is this thread where we engage in the wild speculation he claims to be trying to avoid?
My guess? Deal with a battery storage developer for the county-owned land around the BTU switchyard down there
Yeah, I agree. It certainly would be an anticlimactic announcement.EriktheRed said:
I am just having trouble believing it is something bland, because if it is, why the need to keep it secret to avoid rumors and misinformation?? It's something they obviously want to control the narrative on, and i dont see something bland like opening a south office as needing this level of "control"

I'm sure he's aware. He seems to think things don't apply to him.
Never get in the way of them bashing local pols. Don't ask me how I know.cslifer said:
Peters appears to just be doing a poor job of making some sort of announcement. You know he isn't violating the open meetings laws as the commissioners court isn't meeting and conducting business.

Navasota ISD starts after Duck Haven, so there is a whole lot of land in NISD before you get to Millican. I don't see how in the world NISD would give up all that tax revenue by it going to CSISD.
I think it's much more likely to be something industrial/renewable energy related.

Yeah, Navasota ain't giving that up. Navasota along with Bryan did an excellent job of surrounding College Station with extra territorial jurisdiction. Effectively leaving College Station just a few flood plains has leftovers.
Half of Peach Creek subdivision is also in Nav School district.chickencoupe16 said:EriktheRed said:

Not only does NISD extend that far, that area is home to some of its wealthiest residents, and they recently passed a bond to build an elementary in/around Milican.
