Sounds plenty loud still on that video.

yeah our dog heard it from the backyard and was barking and our neighbor heard it and came outside, so even though "they are considerably less noisy" now, according to Amazon, they are still pretty dang loud

Imagine having the noisy one hovering 15 feet above your house 10-20 times, maybe more, times a day, 7 days a week. My dog went nuts (inside) each time. I finally started complaining to Amazon drone feed back each time it happened. They finally re-routed the "flight plan" to go down the main street, per my suggestion.

I had a delivery a few months back just as a novelty. I wanted to see it do its thing. I decided it was too loud and disruptive for our neighbors so haven't done another order. Maybe I should give it another shot to see how much quieter they are.

Eagle has landed, wasn't expecting the 10'+ drop but the item is fine

This looks exactly how my Fedex guy delivers my packages to my front door.

Very cool that they listened to your feedback.
Trump will fix it.

I live just off Barron Rd and have been signed up since day one. Whenever I think to look for drone items, there's nothing available that I need. I could swear I saw big pkgs of AA batteries on there a while back. I had an actual need for some and was busy getting ready for company one weekend so I looked and couldn't find any. What are people buying that they have delivered by drone?

We had Monopoly Deal delivered via drone just to do it. There's honestly not a lot of stuff on there that we need/want that are eligible for drone delivery. Also, it says 1 hour delivery but ours wasn't delivered until the next day.

I got a drone order just for fun and went out to watch it be delivered. The drone flew right to the drop spot I picked like it was going to drop a package...but it didn't have one! Then it flew away. Almost immediately the status said unable to be delivered. An hour later it was delivered by van. Any idea why it would fly to my house without the package?

Interesting. That's a new one to me. Sounds like the cargo hatch malfunctioned and failed to open. I'm guessing the package was in the drone and failed to deploy and fall to the ground.

The first time, I think they do a "dry run". My first delivery was like this. It came to the house, hovered, and then returned to base. A van dropped off the package. I have since then (as early as last week) gotten deliveries. They drop in my front yard because we've got a pool in the back.

Thanks. This is exactly what happened to me so I guess that explains it!
