What is the best way to find out current HOA dues for various neighborhoods in College Station? Are they filed with the city?

In many cases mud taxes are outrageous in Brazos county. Be sure to inquire about those also.

If you have owned a really old house for decades and haven't been in the local HOA, can that HOA legally decide they now want you and demand dues?

Southern Pointe: $55/monthly plus $600 yearly, so $1,260 yearly and I think my mud taxes were about $3,200.
Goodness! Pebble Creek is a big $21/month with no MUD. That is nuts!cledus6150 said:

Mud taxes make a house much harder to sell.cledus6150 said:
Mandatory garbage and extremely basic fiber, that are required by the HOA and absolutely no way out of them. So they classify them as HOA due's, also very likely I move within the next year or so just to get away from this damn mud.
Cannot blame you, that is like a decent trip a year going to MUD.cledus6150 said:

You can reach out to the individual HOAs (quick Google search to find them), or you can just ask a realtor. HOA dues are plastered all over the MLS
