It's a typo. 15sq, as you alluded to is probably tear off amount.
Anyway, anyone replacing their shingles….pay attention to the brands your roofers are using. Tamko, GAF, Certainteed, Owens Corning, IKO….all have class 3 impact resistant ratings on their architectural shingles. Make sure that's what they are using. You may have premium discounts available to you with them. They should have no upgrade cost. And there is zero reason to not put architectural on your house regardless of whether the original is 3 tab.
Im in Oakmont behind J Christophers. 6 month old roof just inspected and there is significant damage.

15 does sound really low but maybe it has a really really flat roof

We were on the sixth floor looking down on the third floor at the hotel on campus and at first this stuff was big - baseball size then went to smaller hail - attached a pictures from when it first started couldn't get the video to load - hail went through golf carts roofs-shredded the cabana tents on the third level - the cloth ones and also destroyed the metal ones - my son said it dented the hell outta the Alabama baseball team bus roof- we asked the Alabama players we saw in the elevator how they liked our 3am wake up call and couple we talked to said they were afraid to look out their room window.

Haven't gone out much since the 15th. I didn't see any pop-up dent repair stands. A few years ago there was like, four of them along Texas Avenue in CS.
Had 6 storm chaser roofing companies stop by my house this weekend. One even walked around the house, looked over my fence to get my attention. That conversation didn't go as he planned.
My signs worked! We had a company from San Antonio show up with a drone Sunday. As we were leaving for church they were deploying the drone. Apparently went around our cul-d-sac taking pics (which is disturbing) then went door to door showing my neighbors the pics and trying to convince them to hire them based on drone images. Luckily we were at church when they tried to come by, here is out sign working it's magic! Remember folks DO NOT HIRE OUT OF TOWN ROOFERS OR HAIL REPAIR COMPANIES!!!!!!!
