On TADs , I know they'd never do it but Id love to see a College Station location of Cafe Capri there. I feel like it would do really well with a South College Station presence.
One would hope something successful there - although I never understood why the building was oriented like it is towards Lowes. I guess the lot constrained it but always seemed an odd thing.

I haven't heard this.
There has been discussion by some on here that Tad's may not be doing well. So I'm guessing this discussion what might successful in that space if they did throw in the towel.

There was an earlier post showing the building is up for sale. But it was definitely open when I drove by there yesterday.

I imagine TADs doesn't own the building and instead leases the space. It isn't uncommon for CRE company to sell off a building to another CRE company and the tenants just keep doing what they are doing.
We ate at Tad's on Sunday and saw nothing that indicated it being for sale. Actually had the best service we have had in the few times we'd eaten there. That was always our comment previously was about the poor service. The lot next door had a for sale sign on it recently and I've wondered if that was not where the rumor started.

I don't but I'm guessing some sort of BOGO or freebies.

Yes! I went there Tuesday and am meeting some friends there again tomorrow.
Four tacos and drink were under $10 before tip. So good.
100% agree..Taco Bar & Rolando are the best!
Madden's for lunch. As good as ever! I have never seen it more than a quarter full but I have never been for dinner. Maybe that is when everyone else goes.

Just want to give a HUGE shout out to Costa and Mojo Tortilla.
I gave a lunch and learn at an engineering firm last week, and was able to setup an order for 20+ tacos and sides, to be ready for pickup at a specific time, everything was perfect!
Came in from Richmond/Fulshear, stopped grabbed the food and paid, and was on my way in less than 5 minutes. Folks really enjoyed the tacos and everyone asked where they came from.
Only suggestion is to add some stickers/self-promo stuff so it's obvious!!!

Went to Shiraz yesterday for the first time in a couple years. Lamb kabobs, baba ghanoush, and bread were great as always.

We have stopped by a few times after late night games and beyond with the increased hours and it is a welcome addition. No need to head to Fuego with this new addition if we have a late night craving.

I don't know about a son. I've met his daughter.
He was Iranian AF and I think USAF according to the picture of him with his F-5E and pilot certification that's on the wall near the register.

Frice is excellent. Great service too. Large enough portions for lunch the next day. The only negatives are that the dining area is very small and the building is not in tip top shape, especially the restroom. But they're not reasons to keep me from returning
If you haven't tried it, Bun **** is a pretty good burger. DoorDash dude told me it's a ghost kitchen inside Urban Bird.
