Greggo is a public figure and as such, has less rights than the average person. The Ticket ought to be able to parody him all they want. Otherwise, shows like SNL would have been out of business a long time ago.

this may be true, but out of respect for the friendships they have had with him for the last 15-20 years, I doubt they'll be deliberately punching him in the face too much. They may be frustrated and pissed off, but I'm not sure that they're not human.

Greg Williams let down the Ticket more than the other way around. Anything that they do to take the pi$$ out of him the better I say.

I think that Gordo should be on every show instigating all kinds of non-sense and making everyone uncomfortable.

Rhynes seems lost and Corby is a bit more cautious.

I've heard that the little Ticket might not be far from some resolution on all this. No idea if they'll be able to talk about the backstory, but who knows.

Michael Irvin lands local radio gig

Former Cowboys star will work 11 a.m-2 p.m. slot on ESPN 103.3 FM

Michael Irvin will co-host a daily show on ESPN-FM (103.3) beginning Jan. 10.

Irvin will work the 11 a.m.-to-2 p.m. time slot with Kevin Kiley, who most recently co-hosted a talk show on the ESPN affiliate in Los Angeles.

The Irvin-Kiley radio show will be called The Playmakers, in deference to Irvin's Hall of Fame career as a wide receiver with the Cowboys.

Contracts were finalized on Monday, said ESPN 103.3 program director Tom Lee.

"We are always looking to upgrade our station, and we believe this is a significant way to do that," Lee said.

The station's lineup has been in flux since Jennifer Engel gave up her mid-morning show in October. Lee experimented with several co-host combinations before deciding on Irvin and Kiley.

The station continues to search for a permanent co-host to work alongside Brian Estridge in the 2-to-3 p.m. time slot.

Lee confirmed he has talked with Greg Williams, a former staple on The Hardline at "The Ticket" KTCK-AM 1310, ESPN's rival in the sports talk market. Williams walked off the top-rated show in mid-October, leaving only rumor and speculation in his wake. The Ticket has declined to comment on Williams, and he has not returned repeated telephone messages.

Wonder why their webpage still has Greggo's pictures and contact info still on it...

Fake Michael Irvin would be a beating but no way I could handle Michael Irvin on a daily basis.

The tagline for that show should be, "Hey, it could be Emmitt Smith!"

That show will be a beating. But it will probably provide more opportunities to hear from the Fake Michael Irvin, which is a good thing.

Will be interesting to hear how Greggo is handled (if he is even mentioned) if he goes to another station in this market.

right now, i feel greggo betrayed his coworkers and the loyal P1's, so i wouldnt care if he gets a show or not. but part of me would be just a tad bit curious to tune in to see how his show is.

and maybe i'm in the minority, but i think michael irvin would be great. i thought he was great as an ESPN analyst.

With Greggo's multiple drug problems, any other station would be foolish to hire him now.........

That and he sucks at knowing sports and was playing a bit.

If you hid his paper each morning and turned off his Intertron he'd be completely lost as he couldn't form his own educated opinion on any game he watched.

I'll give him he knows the Rangers somewhat but that's simply because he covered them for years so he simply retained some stuff from a historical standpoint.

Greggo was in the perfect situation for his talent (and lack thereof). I predict failure when he finds a spot to land.

I'll be interested to hear Mike Irvin talk baseball or hockey.

I'm having the opposite reaction to Ben & Skin that I had to Rocco. Rocco kind of grew on me over time, while the more I hear Ben & Skin, the more I dislike them. It's frustrating, because I think they're both really talented.

Agree 100% about Ben and Skin. I actually liked them at first as well, but now they just drain my life force.

i like how Ben and Skin have Willonski on for E News and Emily from Fox Sports Southwest for Emily's corner, but yesterday's corner was almost unlistenable b/c Ben and Skin kept talking over her. I think even she was getting annoyed.
