I like how Gordo stuck around to do a segment justifying their cutback by saying no major shows go longer than 3 hours anymore…on the show that just got extended to 4 hours.
That's not a major show, pal.J.P. 03 said:

or get rid of the replay all together...MW03 said:
I am genuinely going to be sad if they are getting rid of Gordo's Corner. Hopefully, they decide to move the replay segments to the 5:30 hour and keep the big 4 (Corner, Muse, 8:40, and O-Deck). No more time for David Moore. No more time for Upon Further Review.
Yeah, it was their idea after they were told they're getting a pay cut.DannyDuberstein said:
Gordo says it was their idea and they approached cumulus

To my Muser pals- Don’t let this demotion get you down. Believe me, I know how it feels to be marginalized by your management. Hang in there, guys. Just keep trying really hard, and you’ll be fine! https://t.co/SszJcrVuhj

My memory sucks, but isn't this basically what drove Dan & Jake away from the Ticket? I thought they wanted to do a separate podcast outside of their show and Cumulus told them they couldn't, so they bailed.
Would be an amazing, ironic note if they are reversing course and allowing Gordo to do it now.
I think they wanted the Ticket to embrace other mediums as an extension of their Ticket gig (bc radio in and of itself is dying), but then also wanted do other stuff (YouTube, podcasts, writing, etc) unrelated to the Ticket that could be cross sold with Ticket content.J.P. 03 said:

Pretty much anything would be better than an extra hour of Donnie + MattMoe Jzyslak said:
I might be in the minority here, but I would've rather them see if Norm wants to do his own 9-10am show and keep Donnie and McLearin at 10-1.

Probably an extra $1.2mm/year in salaries there. Unfortunately that's the reason.752bro4 said:
My what could have been…
Imagine this:
6-9 Musers
9-12 Donnie and Sirois with Monty producing/yuck monkey
12-3 Hang zone with Blake producing
3-330 WTDS
330-700 hardline with Julie producing
Lol what? You think Hang Zone + (Sirois minus McLaren) + (Julie minus whoever the current HL producer is) is anywhere close to 1.2mm? I don't think it'd be half of thatbthotugigem05 said:Probably an extra $1.2mm/year in salaries there. Unfortunately that's the reason.752bro4 said:

Maybe a bit high, but I would imagine the net cost would be somewhere around there after benefits and everything else was taken into account. Dan in particular was very expensive.Goldie Wilson said:Lol what? You think Hang Zone + (Sirois minus McLaren) + (Julie minus whoever the current HL producer is) is anywhere close to 1.2mm? 7-10 would be great.AgGrad99 said:
They should have had the Musers start at 7:00am (or maybe 6:45)...and go longer into the morning. All it means now is that I switch to podcasts earlier.
