Yup.
My daughter went to Kinderfrogs. She's 20 now and doing an internship with a local elementary school among many other things. It's an amazing place.

Annie is the best. Such a sweet little girl, and their fight against Aledo ISD was the most amazing victory, even with the SPED lead leaving before the investigation. Love that family

Quickest version I can give, Annie went in for a public school evaluation (over a year ago) for therapies that could be given before her matriculation to public school either next year or the year after.
Her parents asked for IQ testing and other things not to be done as she was still developing skills that can come quicker with her diagnosis with proper intervention, which Kinderfrogs provides. That request is written into the laws and procedures that Texas has on the books. Aledo ignored those laws, did it anyway, and relegating her in the future to a campus that didn't provide an opportunity to her to be within peers of her own age/class (you spend 2 minutes with Annie and you know she's going to hold her own in on level classes).
The parents file a formal complaint to Aledo ISD. Other families with kids that have gone through the district with diagnosises shared experiences similar. State reps start taking notice and bring it up in sessions at the capitol. A formal investigation is announced into Aledo ISD and the SPED lead resigns before answering any questions and take a job with a highly protected agency.
Again that's the story as I know it, I could be off on many aspects as most is coming from recollection from what my wife had shared with me, both from Annie's family and others she's talked to. Along with the stories that have been shared through multiple press mediums like I shared above. Courtney (Annie's mom) spoke on the floor of the capitol this spring. I wish I could find that video. It was moving.
Wonder if they've since changed their approach? Seems like with the resignation of the SPED head (seemed to be running), they would have likely moved to cover their tracks and save face…

From the drive home on Wednesday: Someone says "I hope A&M and Tech meet in the playoffs, they really hate each other." Joel Klatt says "is there anyone in the nation that doesn't hate A&M?"
Not playing the victim or anything, but is there any team in the nation that isn't hated? Like, all the top schools in the nation have a solid 2-3 rivalries they're involved with, aside from being hated by conference and/or in-state opponents. I'd also probably add that A&M has acceptable relationships with Auburn, Oklahoma State (depending on who you ask), and most SEC East schools. Maybe even the DFW teams. Just thought that was an interesting discussion.

Yeah thats dumb. And we don't even have any real hate for TT. Certainly not longterm. They might have a little more for us. I always felt like they saw themselves as third fiddle (rightly so) in the state and in the natural order of things you go after the one that is above you when trying to climb the ladder.
But we never had as much disdain for them except maybe in the pirate era when they seemed to have our number.
When we left the B12 they were actually probably the least negative towards us from in state schools. And I always pulled for them to be a thorn in the whorns side.
And then I would say tu is more hated statewide then we are - everyone nationally assumes the whorns are liked more than they are within the state. Not realizing there are like 13 other schools that hate them and all of the transplants that move here that also hate them or learn to hate them. We get some hate for sure but mostly just from not getting the traditions and corps stuff than anything else. Most non ags I know highly respect the university.
I don't think we're "hated" as much as we're just such an easy target when we're down. I would bet that ND, OSU, tu, and Bama are significantly more hated nationwide

Another thing in that same conversation. I guess some media members don't like our strength of schedule -- specifically that we don't play Bama, Ole Miss, or Georgia. But what are we supposed to do about it? Games are scheduled years in advance. I sure hope Vanderbilt and Louisville are good when we play them in 2029, or else we might be snubbed out of the playoffs then.
Bob had a good response, though: You play the teams on your schedule. This summer, we sure weren't talking about @ND, @ t.u., and a three-game streak of @Ark, @LSU, and @Mizzou being a cakewalk. Ags have won and done all they can do.

At least Klatt is honest about his hatred for us. Not fake like the others who can't stand us (Fat Jub, Corby, Craig). In matter of fact all the ticket personalities hate us except Bob.
