He says you are the only one with that last name in the bar and so what are you gonna do about it.

I've been and it was ok. I think i'll pass on going anymore until the 'hype' wears off. It was good when it wasn't popular... the days before there was even a sign!
I think it's safe to say the buzz has died down.Diggity said:
I'm hoping the buzz will die down soon at this place. I like the setup but the crowds have been ridiculous the last few weekends.
the DJ on Saturday night was god awful as well.
This has gotten pretty bad since they just put the device in front of you w/ the total & suggested tip. I always look at the bill to make sure that it's only what I got and that they used happy hour prices. The latter is often wrong and lots of places have the suggested tip on the full price, not the discounted price.Coog97 said:
NOBODY used to pad tabs back in the day like The Tavern on West Gray.
those gals at Pearl fluff the tab like you wouldn't believe!kubiak03 said:
lol, didn't know it became a lesbian bar. My how things have changed.
will add it seems fluffing the tab has gotten a lot more common with those machines. Have caught this a couple times last year.
We did the Richmond Strip some but in the very early 00s I think. Could've been late 90s but I was using my White Elephant flea market fake ID. Outback Pub w/ the free drink parties before like 10 was in the monthly rotation.WestHoustonAg79 said:
I love a good Houston board thread bump. From lurking the last 5-7 years or so, sounds like this place was much more of an online community back before you olds all got families and had to quite being a degenerate on the regular. Makes sense to me since back in late 2000s this would have been way more important online before mass social media etc that I got hit with during my undergrad timeframe.
Anyhow, I'm prob about 12-15 years younger than most of you regular posters. Hit up Washington and Midtown a ton fresh out of school in early/mid 2010s, and can say I had never heard of Pearl until now.
Washington has seen its heyday unfortunately. As has midtown.
I'm surprised there isn't any super old balls who used to hit up the Richmond drag back in the '90s here!
