Probably get more action doing that than during her sham marriage to stick boy.

If she was the Houston Democrats' brightest star, they are in a lot worse shape than I thought. That's the problem, they propped up a hollow facade who couldn't compose an extemporaneous sentence on here own, who was only there because of her last name.

she stopped being their brightest star when she started doing things on her own and didn't do what she was told. Like kicking county contracts to her buddies and not to the dem machine in Harris county

The democratic party and voters essentially had no organization when Lina first ran. She ran unopposed in the primary and lucked into winning the position by 20,000 votes on the wave of a 2018 midterm that favored democrats. More was done to prop her up for her re-election but she was hardly a beloved choice by older democrat voters and establishment from Parker's time as mayor. Here we are almost 10 years later and the democratic party still is a disorganized mess on a state-wide level. The only thing unifying most of the party is it being an anti-maga option.

She backed in to the seat because Ed told his voters to get bent.

Otherwise we would never heard of her.

It turned out Ed loved the Astrodome more than his position

She lucked into winning the seat in 2018 and then they were stuck with her in 2022. She was green enough to listen to their guidance her first term, but she got the big head after her second win and thought she was the smartest person in the room. She wanted to be a power player but didn't have the intelligence and found out the hard way that she wasn't going to call the shots. Her mental instability was the last straw.

and alternatively - those that voted against Ed hated the Astrodome more than giving the reins of the county to a little Sandinista with zero experience.

Combined with Cruz knowing he didn't need to campaign hard against Beto. She rode deep blue Beto coattails
