curious if anyone went to the charley crockett performance and how was it?
Had a shift so only got to see the first 4-5 songs, but he was great. Drove out in an old ford thunderbird convertible.
My son is a fan and really enjoyed the show. They should have probably placed Charlie on a Saturday slot. He only drew 52,654, the lowest so far.

The opposite ... Saturdays usually draw a huge ground on the grounds and at the Rodeo, because of the weekend and families can easily attend. Often the Rodeo will place a lesser known artist on the first two Saturdays. This year is was Bailey Zimmerman and Warren Zeiders. It also helps the lesser known artist get a lot more exposure. I'm just saying it would have been good for Charlie and his career to get that Saturday exposure, but justing getting on the lineup for Houston this year is great for him..

Yeah, I was not familiar either, but that Saturday they sold 64K rodeo tickets with 183K total on the grounds. That 183K is one of the largest of all time for the grounds.

Tonight was the first concert I've been to this year and while I don't like Post Malone's music the dude puts on a great show. Packed house and tons of people up dancing and signing.
Granted I couldn't understand one word he said but it was fun.
And for the love of God why does this younger generation think they have to experience everything through a 4x3 phone screen?

Well I'm biased because I've loved Post Malone for years, and he put on a hell of a show tonight!
Post put on a great show. First time to the Houston rodeo. I was really impressed with how well something with so many moving pieces was run. Good job H town.

He did some of his rap/hip hop songs but with a "country twist" . It was really well done. Loved the George Strait cover. He was great with the crowd. Very humble.
Yeah I'm not a fan of his music as it's just not my jam but I'm a big fan of Post Malone.
His musical talent is off the charts and he's always come off as very authentic. He always seems like just a really good, down to earth dude. You can tell he puts a lot of work into his show.

Just discovered this guy thanks to this thread…I would not be surprised if he is a much bigger draw in years to come. He's definitely got a unique style and sound but comes across as genuine.

Any tips on how to approach this with a 4 yr old who prob can't ride most of the rides or play most games? Best way to get in and out with no parking pass etc?
Haven't been in almost a decade. But we used to park downtown and take the rail and it was super easy.
