it was a great show. I don't think he has enough recognition for a venue like that, but he's a great performer.AustinCountyAg said:
curious if anyone went to the charley crockett performance and how was it?
Are Saturdays typically slower days? I would have expected the opposite.H-town ag said:
My son is a fan and really enjoyed the show. They should have probably placed Charlie on a Saturday slot. He only drew 52,654, the lowest so far.
agreed. he was very good - not chatty at all.Diggity said:it was a great show. I don't think he has enough recognition for a venue like that, but he's a great performer.AustinCountyAg said:

WTF is Warren Zeiders?H-town ag said:
The opposite ... Saturdays usually draw a huge ground on the grounds and at the Rodeo, because of the weekend and families can easily attend. Often the Rodeo will place a lesser known artist on the first two Saturdays. This year is was Bailey Zimmerman and Warren Zeiders. It also helps the lesser known artist get a lot more exposure. I'm just saying it would have been good for Charlie and his career to get that Saturday exposure, but justing getting on the lineup for Houston this year is great for him..
I did state the first two Saturday's. Closing weekend is normally well known artists. AustinCountyAg said:
did he do any rap music?
His performance of "Congratulations" was amazing. The whole stadium was really into it. Best song of the night IMO.CFTXAG10 said:AustinCountyAg said:

He did some of his rap/hip hop songs but with a "country twist" . It was really well done. Loved the George Strait cover. He was great with the crowd. Very humble.

Any of yall know what the skywriters were for?
I was a few miles away and the clouds kept breaking up before I could make them out. I think I got "cost" on one of the passes.
