The majority of those trouble makers were not Houstonians.
Spring break is over and they've all gone home.

I was there at 9:00 on Saturday and they were not high school kids. There were more than a few with 4 and 5 year olds tagging along.

That can still be HS around these parts…

Surprisingly empty tonight. Thought CCR would have been a bigger draw.

I was on a plane from Houston to Chicago this morning. MANY were going back home after visiting the rodeo on "spring break." Clowns

There were a ton of cheap tickets listed on resale.

I was tempted, but finding a friend to go to a concert on a Monday isn't as easy as it used to be.

*I also wonder if their big reunion shows kind of soaked their diehard fans, or otherwise affected enthusiasm.

Started slow but really picked up. They probably would have done another hour if rodeo let them.

yea. They skipped the ******s down in Norman and didn't talk a lot between songs. Also may have been first concert in 16 years from what they said.

Was nostalgic and a good time.

According to the new dress code:

Proper attire must be worn on HLSR Show grounds at all times, including shirts and appropriate footwear. HLSR reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience with other guests. Clothing that is not appropriate for the HLSR Show grounds includes, but is not limited to, clothing with objectionable material (including obscene language or graphics), excessively torn cloth, visible undergarments, and/or clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment. Wearing clothing, visible tattoos or any other attire bearing the name, insignia, colors, or other indicia of affiliation to a criminal street gang is prohibited on HLSR Show grounds.
No clothing or apparel that intentionally obscures the face is permitted unless worn for cultural or religious reasons or a medical condition.

Count me in the camp that was shocked to see the 500s completely empty.

Guess those Stillwater and Waco shows removed a lot of people that have seen them in the last year.

They were good and glad I saw them but the definitely seemed to be missing a gear.

If you're a Cross Canadian fan it was a good show. If you were just there and not really familiar you probably thought it sucked.

They didn't blow the roof off but it was good. They seemed very appreciative of being back and on stage. They looked like they were having fun. Shout outs to Jason Boland and REK and Cody's Todd Snider shirt were nice touches.

I thought it was a good show, but not that surprised the crowd was kind of sparse. They're mainly going to appeal to a narrow age group considering they were broken up for 16 years.

HLSR is different than the bars on Washington that had to let all the riffraff in. They could clamp down hard, someone sues, and before its even in front of a judge the rodeo is over.

Could probably do it again next year.

They're going to lean hard into 'gang affiliation' to keep it pleasant. Wouldn't be surprised if there is some collateral damage so HLSR could show race blindness in front of a judge. Some unsuspecting teenager who wants to show off their fresh new tattoo is gonna get labelled a gang and told to cover up.

"It means strength"

"Well today it means Latin Kings so cover it up and let us take a few pictures to help our impending case against some idiot with some tear drops on their face and an ambulance chasing lawyer"

I know its shocking for a lot of yall, but red dirt country was always niche. Those of yall who like it, REALLY like it. I never heard of cross-canadian ragweed until I got to A&M. Despite all the eye-rolling done every year about the concert line up and wishing for more of these type of acts to be booked, the rodeo usually knows what its doing in order to maximize attendance.

It was also 1st day back or 1st day of spring break. I imagine that played a little as well on the attendance.

I imagine there's a specific genre of music that could be eliminated from the lineup that would likely remove 1/2 or more of the dress code and behavior issues.

FIFY

Several black influencers put out reels or posts about what happened and said that the demographic needs to be banned.

The "suede" part is what puts this comment over the top.
