The International Ocean Discovery Program is the most comprehensive and extensive drilling program to ever be conceived. Texas A&M is the science operator for the program which focuses on examination of Earth, ocean and climate processes. Aggies have been a part of the program since 1983, and they just signed a new five-year agreement to manage the program and operate its research vessel.
