Look at Sturgis. Every year there are credible threats of violence and wars. Its not canceled. Instead, police take precautions. In this case, something did happen by a group not supposed to be there. We still have no testimony of anyone other than the police about what happened (who shot first, who was shooting at what). There have been exaggerations of the number of weapons (100+ now down to under 50 and that includes chains on wallets, and pocket knives). Exaggerations on the number arrested (they rounded up anyone in colors) from 190 down to 170. There are a lot of unanswered questions.

Now I don't think WPD is to blame at all. In fact, they stopped any innocents from being injured or the fight escalating. But enough is not known to blame TP or their management. This is typical internet over reaction to everything and everyone wanting to cover their own ass.. Let it play out.

I will say it seems odd for such a police presence if they didnt know for sure that a rival gang was on the way armed to start a fight. I think if that had been told to TP, they may have closed down. You place SWAT teams in a parking lot without some serious intell.

BREAKING: Waco police now say they've found as many as 1000 weapons at Twin Peaks, including an AK-47. Many were hidden in toilets, food.

Again this is from the police controlled narrative. What are the 1000 weapons? 192 arrested, that 5 weapons per man! Are they counting beer bottles, pocket knives and wallet chains? The key figure for me will be guns and knives, especially among the injured and dead.

They counting steak knives and forks?

It's been revised to 320 weapons and 165 guns. That's a lot of guns, I wonder how many were legal

Really close to a gun per person arrested.

I bet the crime labs around the state are going to be busy for a while sorting the ownership/fingerprints out.

I don't think I'm going to question the Waco cops. This jibes with the way I've been hearing it

"I should have died with my brothers," he said. "They stood and took what they took because they believed that everyone has the right to ride where they want, when they want without having to pay for it."

Ah, but he didn't. He ran and is a free man today, who can give interviews because of it.

I just don't understand. Pay the dues or don't wear the patch. Nobody deserved what happened. There seem to be simple rules to follow.

Wouldn't that be a little like us having to pay the tsips for us to have "Texas" on our Aggie apparel?

I'm sure they think we should. But this is organized crime and the way things are.

It is protection money and the police should not let organized crime continue. In any form. Shut these people down. Arrest them for every tiny infraction till they decide it would be easier to move out of our state.

I'm sure the police would love to just snap their fingers and make all the bad guys go away
