Yeah, it sounds like it was taken around noon today before all of it really went down.
That picture looks like it was taken with a Kodak Instamatic during some dry summer of many years ago.
Honestly it was a matter of time. Biker gangs are pretty prevalent around here. (And yes, I know the difference between the "clubs" and the "gangs") though many are members of both

its not in bellmead... the left hand side of the frame is the Enterprise rent a car sign. that is just south of downtown at 17th and 18th street. I doubt it is from today
a handful of police were able to control the scene with this many armed individuals when the shooting started? was it a dozen or so cops, uniformed or not, that were there when the fight went to the parking lot?
Saw a post on Facebook from a guy saying about 100-200 bikes just passed his apt complex located on a back way to avoid 35. Said some were carrying bats and different weapons. That was an hour ago.
Sounds fishy. If true, baseball bats will be of no use on a night like tonight.

I do know that booze fighters were there. Or supposed to be there. Friend of mine posted they were late to their "meeting' at Tein peaks.

Ok. There were some there for the meeting but not all as a whole. Whew.
So the Twin Peaks folks encouraged all these idiots meeting here and discouraged the cops from interfering with it? What the hell is wrong with them? I've eaten there. Seemed like a rather non-trashy place. Never again.

That was my point. Sorry. I was frantic when you posted they were there. I'm sure they were arrested but I know my friend wasn't there, so he's not arrested or shot/injured. The news kept saying 3 gangs and when I tuned out to watch GOT they were saying 5.

Have you guys seen anything on how many of the dead and wounded were shot by police versus by other bikers? The articles say police fired on bikers, so I was just curious how active the police actually were in the shootout.

$1MM bond a man on the Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity charge as well as likely confiscation of their bikes on scene (that will be a heck of an auction).

And law enforcement has let them get away with it. We hear of the Mexican drug cartels, but we have let this group become entrenched organized crime.
3GA, part of it (I think) because they really don't bother anyone outside of themselves. They really make a concerted effort to not affect the general public. That's why this was such a surprising and exceptional event.

You're trying to compare drug cartels that kill thousands every year to motorcycle gangs that maybe average killing 10 every year? And do a fraction of the drug trafficking. Not even close to the same.
