Just watched some Tesla FSD videos. Why isn't there a mad dash to get this feature?

Adapting to all driving locales. FYI if you live in Texas and have a HW4 computer and FSD you can probably sign up for early access FSD.

What is the difference between that and what is already available? I am genuinely curios. I have a MYP with HW4.

Yeah I can't see anything different than current FSD.

That video is in Europe/Norway. It's just a representation of the rapid adaptability of the system to various locations. Most autonomous systems require high definition maps to operate in an area, Tesla basically can pick up their model and drop it anywhere and have it work. There are hackers in Russia that have gotten FSD to work there.

I don't think the video is related to the comment. FSD is coming to Europe. Also, Tesla has a signup program for "early access" to pre-release FSD versions/features. I've signed up but haven't had any new software pushed to my model y yet.

Early Access? When Tesla develops a new version they will typically release the software to a narrower set of participants, refine the model to mitigate errors and then expand the offering on a new point release to the entire fleet. The people doing YouTube videos on FSD (AI DRIVR, WholeMarsCatalog, Dirty Tesla, Chuck Cook) have historically gotten new versions, like V13, about a month before the rest of the fleet. They are in the Early Access program.

Because Tesla is launching their Robotaxi service to Texas first they have expanded the Early Access program to drivers in Texas to help refine the model/problem seek errors in a more targeted area.
