Good morning.
I had an acute injury (fall) of my dominant shoulder at the end of June.
It took a while to get imaging. In the meantime, my company had an online PT program, where I had some positive results, but also some setbacks, especially when adding weight (2-3lb dumbbells).
Imaging results are as follows:
Rotator Cuff Tears
Suggestions?
Thanks!
- Supraspinatus and Infraspinatus Tendons:
- Full-thickness, full-width tear at their insertion points (where they attach to the bone).
- Most of the torn tendon has retracted (pulled back) toward the shoulder socket (glenoid).
- No significant muscle atrophy, which is a good signit means the muscles haven't wasted away yet.
- Subscapularis Tendon:
- Shows moderate tendinosis (degeneration).
- Has a high-grade partial tear in the upper part of the tendon near its insertion.
- Teres Minor Tendon:
- Intact (no tear).
- Shows tendinosis (wear and tear).
- Mild subluxation (slight displacement) at the groove where it normally sits.
- No tear detected.
- Degeneration in the posterior superior labrum (part of the cartilage ring around the socket).
- No focal tear.
Suggestions?
Thanks!
