I do PT exercises 3 days/week on my own after being taught the movements by a PT and they do help.
The underlying joint condition creating the pain is that I have synovial osteochondromatosis that impacts most of my major joints, particularly my shoulders, knees, and hips. I've already had surgeries to remove loose bodies in both shoulders. My surgeon showed me some videos he took while in there and my joint socket basically looked like a snow globe. There isn't a known cause or cure, but weight loss can reduce joint stress and therefore reduce pain.
