After Scam Newton, Auburn really should keep their mouths shut. Especially since they are trying hard for Caleb Williams.

I was against NIL, but everyone knew that the two schools with endowments equal to Ivy League schools but are obsessed with football are going to win out.

Is that a Texas fan claiming it doesn't make sense due to record? His team won 5 games and they have the 5th ranked recruiting class in the nation.

The crying all makes sense. The Alabama win certainly helped us, but we have to acknowledge there is NIL deal-making happening.

Very strange to go 8-4 yet still have the top rated class of all time without some level of NIL-dealmaking, which is all fair game now.

It helps having had a ton of elite recruits come to the most electric game of the season in front of the best crowd in football and being told they are the difference to getting to the championship... Also recruiting often lags by one season. We went 9-1 and were perhaps the second best team in the country based on Alabama's ass kickings of everyone else in the playoffs. UF played them close-ish, but we beat UF.

This is hilarious to me. All this would be traceable. The LLCs would have to register with the Secretary of State and have Articles of Incorporation on file.

Bapperton063 states without evidence these corporate entities were created, but cannot tell us one specific thing about them. Anyone with half a brain can read right through this crap.

Hey folks, let's take a second and actually answer why we are doing well at recruiting this year.

I hate the narrative that they are pushing. Money isn't the whole reason for this.

1) Jimbo Fisher is a top recruiter. He has been for years. Except for his last year at Florida State he has consistently been good at picking up top talent.

2) People are flipping out because we have already signed the highest rated group of all time. That sounds fantastic, except that Alabama last set the record ... last year. We broke a one-year record. No one lost their crap when Bama did it.

3) We have had some excellent recruiters as assistant coaches. Guess why Jimbo did that? Because it works. Why are the sips holding onto a coach who dropped his family for a stripper named Pole Assassin and her monkey? Because he can recruit. They are selling their souls for a slightly better class.

4) The Aggie Network is real. The fact that almost ever recruit has talked about life after college is important. I think schools that are just putting up money are missing a big part of the fact that cash runs out. Having a steady job is for life.

5) While other coaches were sitting back to see what other schools were offering for NIL, the Aggies got out in front and made their offer first. You gotta be first in this world.

6) OU sucks. Lincoln Riley was going to be there for years to come, but the school dropped him because they wanted to follow us so badly. They got into the SEC, but lost Riley. Many of those recruits loved the fact that he was offering stability when others weren't. Fisher offers stability with his 10 year contract.

7) sips suck. I mean they are openly advertising prices for employment on the team and they aren't getting the big names. What mom would want their kid to go to stripper-monkey U? It's terrible. They put recruits in the endzone and try to load up the Kansas game in front of literally dozens of fans. Just terrible.

8) LSU sucks. Their QB left for A&M. Their coach is too busy grinding on players to call even the biggest names out there. LSU isn't Notre Dame. The players are rushing over there to get in because of their religion. It's back-water Louisiana.

9) Did we mention that there are still Baylor's Board of Regents from when Art Briles was there? I mean RapeU didn't even bother to clean that house out.

What does all this mean? Regional uncertainty at surrounding colleges, great staff that understands Aggieland, and a rule change to let us catch attention without having to be stupid ...

A&M would have cleaned house this year with- or with-out NIL.

But since they gave it to us, by God we are using it.

No, it's not strange at all. It's not like we went 5-7 and lost at home to Kansas.

Jimbo is an elite recruiter, always has been, even at an ACC program with poor facilities, and avg. U. and lackluster fan support while surrounded by and recruiting against the heart of the SEC, Miami and Clemson. At Texas A&M he is selling the program and his vision, our vision, not just one season or one game. He is selling Kyle Field and the atmosphere of big games like Bama and Auburn, he is selling that without injuries to QB1 and all the starting WRs at some point in the season this team is probably 10-2+ starting a true freshman OC, he is selling a Top 5 defense, he is selling Top 3 facilities at one of the top universities in the country with a huge alumni base, rabid fan support, and every resource a student-athlete could want. Oh yeah, and after ALL of the above, we have a strong NIL game.

Jimbo will NEVER sign a recruiting class not ranked in the Top 10 and usually Top 5'ish.

The crying over this is hilarious. Reminds me of what they were saying before Clemson became what they currently are. Anyone remember the national narrative about "Clemsoning"?

One of the biggest, richest, most football-obsessed schools excels at recruiting when it becomes legal to pay players. Astonishing.

I'm guessing a lot of these people don't realize that A&M is a pretty solid school that has been one of the 3-5 largest in the country for a long time, which translates to more fertile grounds for NIL than most schools. We've also got a coaching staff that was built to recruit behind one of just four coaches with a championship, and we're in the premier NFL proving ground.

And there is the fact that the commits appear to have coalesced and started to recruit on behalf of the school early.

The hard thing to explain isn't why we're doing well now, it's why we didn't do well before.

That BS article is nothing more than the constant cries of "bagmen" we used to hear when Saban or Kirby or whoever else had a good recruiting class and took players other programs wanted.

Jimbo's won a national championship and holds the modern day record of having 29 of his players drafted in a 3-year span. He's had top 10 recruiting classes virtually every year since 2010 - he had the #2 class in 2011. Why is anyone surprised that he put together the #1 class now that he's at a school with better facilities that's playing in the country's most competitive football division and conference, based only an hour away from Houston.

Until college football fans get their heads wrapped around the fact that A&M is a great place to go school, has a safe campus, a great alumni base and the 12th Man is an unmatched fan base they will seek to come up with contorted theories and rationalizations.

By contrast the area around the UT campus is a mess, West Campus is dangerous. It took Austin PD 45 minutes to respond to a shooting there about 2 months ago. Within the same week there were two other violent incidents in West Campus. UT parents were in an uproar. Finally APD permitted Campus police to patrol there. Add in football coaches with stripers and monkeys, a 5-7 record and losing at home to Kansas and it becomes clear the place is a disaster.

A&M is a great and safe place to be. There is room to breathe and grow in College Station!

Don't they realize these kids now all talk to eachother and decide to get together to build a winning program at the place with the best support themselves.

Also, it seems Harris and Perkins may have broken tu. Not sure what they are complaining about. They were 5-7 but still managed to land a top 5 class.

We have to except that there are lots of people in this world who want to believe that Texas A&M will never be better than they want us to be (I.e. sip). They will never give us props or credit. If we get a good class, it's because we money whipped them. If we have a great season, it because we got lucky or we have a weak schedule. There just never be respect in some peoples eyes for Texas A&M. I'm good with that, and I don't care. Let them talk. They're just jealous.

OU and tu I get, but funny how much hatred we are receiving across the country for a recruiting class. But frankly, I think it's funny. Makes our success that much sweeter as they continue to get more frustrated. And sure, if people just see us as a 8-4 team then the shallow assessment is correct. But if you know better you also put into consideration the tremendous strides the program made the year before, and the challenges at QB and young line we had to endure this year. Pretty amazing what the culture and financial success a school that is inferior academically and just a diploma mill can produce? Sounds like
We've been doing something right

I'm more shocked by the number of people who did not understand what NIL was.

I'm glad these kids can now earn market driven revenue for their own name, image, and likeness. That's simple capitalism, and fair compensation. Tuition and housing were nowhere near fair compensation for the top football or basketball programs.

NIL may also keep some athletes in US colleges instead of them going abroad or to a minor league.

This is what I've said in response to every Cow fan whenever they start popping off with this crap.

The logical fallacy here (that even cow seems to overlook) is that somehow wins and losses the previous season are the only variable that recruits should look to when considering which school to commit to. By that logic, no lesser school could ever improve. It's pure nonsense.

What's even more ridiculous is that cow fans are upset that we are "cheating" and "paying players" when they themselves have prided themselves on offering every commit money. Even recruits that have attended visits have said that all cow does is tell them how much money they can get them in NIL deals and don't even talk about anything else.

Bottom line. They are just mad that we have things to offer they don't and that we are better in the NIL landscape than they are. The hypocrisy from cow on this is laughable.

Dollar amount Ewers got goes up every day.
What's your point? The same can be said about the extent of the fabrication about A&M's NIL philanthropy.
