I can't understand this one. Our WR room is all talented but unproven guys besides Noah. Why take on another one? Can't we get a guy with at least SOME college skins on the wall?

We'll still be recruiting receiving threats at TE.

Because if we took him, we'd be looking at taking 4 including the productive guy. But getting two more high end productive guys comes at a much higher cost. So it's not likely we get 4, with two guys like Horton and Concepcion, in other words. You get one of those types and another high upside guy as your 4th. Can never have too many athletes on the team. You never know if/when things click for them.

Edit and now that visit looks like it's not happening lol.

On our 2024 Bowl Roster, Jaden Platt name appears. Did he withdraw from the Portal?

No. He commited to Arkansas.

That's what I was wondering. If I'm not mistaken the most we could have returning off this roster is 3 so adding 4 would give us 8 with Kiotti coming in as a Fish.

I'm keeping my eye on Donovan Green here. If he isn't convinced he'll be near 100% by the opener, I'm not sure he'd want to ride the bench another year. We might have another Baylor Cupp situation.

I really hope we hear he's moving around nice this spring. If so, be like a new weapon added to the room.

I hope he's back to freshman form. He showed a lot of promise.

Sure hope the reason we a striking out on some of these DL/DE is we already have "commitments " from players on one of 12 playoff teams or even higher profile bowl games that have yet to enter the portal so not going all in with the Nil $, if not...wooof.

Maybe this signals that Thor will now be used more as a receiving TE, which is what he was coming out of Sweden.

There is blame to go around, but I'm answering his question about why we took two blocking tight ends. You can't take an OC in the transfer portal

He is currently on campus at A&M so it would be kind of ****ty considering he got in late last night and has barely been here.

Unfortunately, this recruitment of Concepcion is gonna be a long one. Sounds like he will still be talking to new teams entering the mix in the last couple days. Setting up visits after the New Year. If he doesn't commit to us soon after our visit, we may want to target someone else. This could end up being too crazy of a bidding war to even worry about.

Think we are looking at more WRs as we may lose one 'committed'....Bama now chasing Mario Craver who supposedly will visit them now.

So, we are becoming a long shot w KC (he's shopping large dollars), will be competing with Bama on the UM WR (who has them listed very high - actually committed to them it appears) and now may be in a new convo with Craver as he's intrigued with Bama too.

As Elko stated, none of this will be done until they are officially on campus starting the academic year as signatures mean nothing (and verbals are worse).

Where are you seeing Craver is still visiting Bama?
