In the last 5 months tu has:

-Joined our conference
-Hired away our baseball coach
-Beat A&M at Kyle Field
-Clinched a berth in the SEC title game in their first year when A&M still has 0 title game appearances

This is a lot of fun. Things are going fantastic for our athletic department as we get shoved into a locker and clowned on again.

Im so glad they joined the SEC and our admins were duped by thinking a handshake deal would keep them out.

So many of you wanted to play them again. Happy now? Reading all that reinforces to me that we need to leave the conference and never be in one with them again. Our rivals can be tech, Baylor, tcu, or we should join the big 10.

We were all soooo sure things were going to be different now that we had an new stadium, facilities, better recruiting and we puffed out our chest when we got the greatest recruiting class of all time which turned out to be a complete bust.

We thought the SEC would be to physical for them and we would have a leg up on them when we played them in Kyle field again, but they completely dominated both lines of scrimmage from the first snap and we didn't score a single point on offense.

Them joining the SEC will only make us better. When we have to deal with reality next door, then it will push us to be better and possibly an SEC title.

If they won the big 12 and we went 8-4, we would just say the big 12 is minor leagues and we had a hell of a season beating expectations in Elko's 1st year.

Screw that. We need the heat to push us to better heights. texas getting better will only make us better

You're delusional. Schloss was the only elite coach we had on campus outside of T&F. It'll be a while before we are back in Omaha.

He was by far the best coach we had. Buzz and Jimbo are frauds.

Also, it's about optics. We had a shiny toy we were having fun with (an excellent baseball program) and they just came in and took it from us while kicking sand in our faces.

Cool. Nice theory there. How did that work out for us in the big 12?

Remember 77-0 and losing to tech 8 out of 10 along with never winning the big 12 outside of 1998?

That's why all of his players followed him and left us with a few trainers and a janitor to take the field next year? Oh. That's right, only his pitching coach followed him and none of the pitchers or any other players.

We already did that 12 years ago when we left for the SEC and it was hailed Wholeheartedly by the fanbase as the greatest move in athletic program history. Everyone was so excited to finally get out of their shadow. What has changed now that makes it "soft"?

I swear some of you have Stockholm syndrome when it comes to tu and the SEC. They made a promise when A&M joined and then stabbed us in the back. You get rammed in the a** and say "may I have some more please?"

"She'll change this time. I'm sure of it. I know she didn't really mean to lie and sleep with that other guy."

Enjoy the same exact result as the Fran years then when tu ate our lunch on the recruiting trail and beat us in our house regularly. Nothing will ever change if you do the exact same thing and keep expecting a different result.

If we remain in a conference with tu, we will have to face the biased media slobbering over them at every turn and putting A&M down, entire halves of the season without a holding call against our opponents, bad schedule draws, losing elite recruits head to head and more. Bookmark this for a few years from now and I'll say I told you so. Some of you don't remember what it was like to be conference mates with them.

We can still play them every year like Florida state and Florida play each other, but we need a fresh start somewhere else in a conference that will put our interests ahead of tu's. Once they joined, we were always going to be the step child in the SEC.

A&M also needs a differentiator from them. What do we have that they don't? You can be in Texas and play in the SEC at both places. The Big 10 would give that conference a foothold in Texas and give us an opportunity to play different programs like Ohio state, Michigan, Penn state, and Oregon.

How we feel about playing them would not have affected the business decision the SEC made to keep tu and paper clip from joining another conference.

They were offered a spot to keep them from joining the B1G. We were offered a spot to prevent the PAC 16 from forming. 15 years ago

About playing them that game was more
Exciting and more anticipated than the LSU season finales we have had the last 7-8 years

If mark johnson has his number retired for __ cws wins. Schloss certainly should. Think he has more CWS wins than both mark and Childress combined at A&M. If he doesn't. It's close.

Wasn't a fan of schloss the person. Bit wasn't a fan of JFF the person either. But like Johnny - he knows how to win.

And yes. Less half a year has sucked.
