It was someone every poster here knows so I won't name him but it was embarrassing and pitiful all at the same time. We've been to BR multiple times and had great experiences.

You guys.
I took my 11 and 6 year old daughters to the LSU night game vs SE LA earlier this year. Got there early, saw Mike, watched some early football on the big screen in the AC at the PMAC, then watched the band and team march in.
No issues at all before or during the game. The kids had a great time. Could there be issues? Maybe. But some of y'all are acting like the OP is planning on taking his kids on a stroll through the streets of Kyiv.

It was bad enough in Kyle last year - had a row of them sitting directly behind us cussing and drinking like fish and spitting all over us as they hooped and hollered it up. Then Marcel came in and shut them up. By Q4, they were long gone.

Did you wear A&M gear to an LSU game vs SELA? If no, then its not the same situation.
And if you did wear a&m to an LSU vs SELA game, then you would deserve to be **** talked endlessly

Where does the Aggie band and team walk in at? And time, is it so many hours before game?

My boys love football. They would love to see Mike the tiger. Am I crazy for considering going to this game with my 6 & 8 yr old sons? Never been to Tiger Stadium. Let me hear what you think.

If you like other 6 and 8 year olds cussing at you, then yeah...

I went to an Aggie game there with a couple that had season tickets that were LSU fans. I remember them all lining along the road and giving the finger and F bombing the FTAB. Then when the band was lined up before halftime in the end zone, they had large junks of ice thrown at them. Remember vividly watching a tuba getting dented from a large hunk of ice.
They cuss and are vulgar as hell if they see your an Aggie. This was in 1992 and we won 31-22 I think.
It was hot as hell also.
I swore I would never go back….and never have.
I did business in Louisiana and enjoyed calling on the people there. But LSU fans at the game…holy moly!

College football games are not near as family friendly as they were back in the day, including Kyle Field.
Alcohol sales inside the stadium have about 95% to do with that. Its honestly pretty sad.
Having said that I took my kids to Baton Rouge in 2021 when they were 5 and 12 and we didn't have a single issue. Yeah you have to have a little thick skin but 99% is good natured ragging. Its to be expected.
FWIW, Alabama was way more of a problem than LSU was . When a drunk middle aged man throws an empty beer can at your 13 year old son at a red light...yeah you tend to lose your cool and react aggressively.
This is where I'm torn. I hate LSU football, but the only LSU alum I know are actually really good people.Gil Renard said:

Would you be upset if your 6 & 8 year old came home screaming "Suck that tiger d*#k b*tch"?
They don't even play Neck anymore, but the students just throw it in there for fun.

I took my son at age 10. He's 22 now and still talks about it. We went 2 other times. Best road trips ever. Don't act stupid and you'll have a great time.
The most disgusting, vulgar experience in 50 years going to college football I've ever had at a football game was an Aggie in AC 2 at Kyle Field.
