Indiana's schedule is pure garbage and only slighty weaker than tOSU.

Yesterday Indiana beat a coach-less terrible team in free fall...on the last play of the game. Meanwhile the Ags got a solid double digit, SEC road win against a ranked opponent.

Ags are the best team in the country, and its not close.

Indiana would counter with our pillow fight win over Arkansas. That was also using an interim HC, with less talent on their roster than Pedo St has.

Let.It.Go

Indiana is a really good team, just as A&M is

An Arkansas team that is 8th in yards per game.

The best offense Indiana has faced is Oregon at #13 (largely from non-conference games and putting up 700 on freaking Rutgers, without Rutgers they are middle of the pack Big 10 in conference play only) and Old Dominion at #22 (who plays nobodies all year). Their next best offense they have played is Rutgers at #41 in YPG.

We are the only team in college football that has won 3 road games against ranked opponents and people here still say we haven't played anyone.

Smfh.

And two of those road games were in South Bend and Death Valley.

It's comical at this point.

It's not like it was in Ames, IA, or Lubbock.

His about everybody just play whose on the schedule and it will all shake out in the end?

Any team that hasn't lost a game by this point is pretty dang good.

I understand that next year, Indiana along with Notre Dame will both be playing the Indiana School for the Blind in Indianapolis.

With the NIL era, it feels like there is an unprecedented amount of parity. Let's face it, some of those great Bama/Ohio State/Georgia/LSU teams were able to just roll over average opponents with maybe 1-2 close games in the season, they were winning by 7 TDs in 2-3 conference games.

Now, the top teams in college football appear to be making plays in the 3rd quarter to separate themselves. I think it makes for a much more watchable product, and ultimately, a lot more debates. 2 loss Notre Dame and 2 loss Ohio State made it through the bracket last year when Oregon and Georgia seemed like huge favorites based off of what they accomplished in the regular season.

With all of that being said, I'm glad that our boys have not only won the last few weeks, but in a sense, pounded our opponents into submission. We still haven't played a full 4 quarters of football yet, but 2 quarters of good football in some of these games have resulted in some pretty lopsided outcomes and I do feel like we are the more physical, relentless team each week. Teams think they have a chance, but they can't get to our QB all game, we start getting chunks of yards on the ground in the 3rd quarter, continue to pound them with the screen game, continue to body their receivers in the secondary and it all starts to come running downhill quickly.

My 2 biggest concerns are Marcel Reed and our ability to defend good receivers. It's not that I believe Marcel is bad by any stretch, but the inconsistency is concerning, and efficiency wise, he really hasn't taken the next step despite a better OL and WR corps around him. With that being said, I think he is operating smoothly within the system. Klein seems to understand when he may be struggling with speeding up his cadence and calls plays accordingly. As for the defense, I appreciate the physical nature of Lee/Ricks, but they have been exposed against some good receivers and the playoffs will be loaded with teams that have the hosses to match their physicality and win the ball. Also have to hope we don't get a crew that penalizes the handsiness.

Here's another. Go to the 10:50 mark. And these were after the Mizzou win.

Also, lots of complaints that A&M beat the backup quarterback yesterday. I must have somehow missed Drew Allar playing in the Indiana-Penn State game yesterday.

We really don't know. I agree that I like us against Indiana. My issue is we haven't played Alabama or Georgia. The SEC championship will be the litmus test.

I understand what you are saying but all year it has been, "yeah, we won our cupcake games but the real test will be ND; yeah we beat ND but they won't play anybody let's see how we do against SEC Auburn; well, we might have beaten Auburn and MSU but Florida is on a high and are better than their rank; yeah, we are 6-0 but Arky always plays us tough and it will be a true SEC road game; we barely got by Arky and haven't won in Death Valley at night, this will be a serious indicator; I know we're 8-0 but this will be our 3rd straight road game against a really good team, this will be a true test; I know we are 9-0 but until we get to the SEC CG we won't really know what we have." When will we feel good about our team and schedule? If/when we win the CFP, there will still be people saying," yeah but it was a down year and let's see if we can do it two years in a row and then maybe we will be good".

Have you seen the conference records (or overall records) of Florida, Auburn, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Arkansas?

Wrong question.

Better question: have you looked at the average talent composite of the teams we've beaten versus the teams Indiana (and Ohio State) have beaten? It's not even close.

Do those teams you listed have bad conference records? Yes. But all five of them have rosters that are top 25 in composite talent, which is not a flawless statistic, but it's a damn good data point. It just so happens they are in a conference with a bunch of teams that are top 10 in talent composite.

The P4 teams we've beaten have talent composite rankings of 6, 9, 12, 13, 22, 23, and 24 (average ~15). We have nos. 4 and 18 still to play.

The P4 teams Indiana has beaten are ranked 5, 10, 26, 38, 42, 54, and 64. (average ~34). They have nos. 28 and 52 still to play.

Indiana has beaten some decent and talented teams, but the volume of NFL talent we are facing week in and week out is way higher, and we deserve credit for it. The committee said they were going to give more credit for that this year, but they're not, because they're a bunch of intellectually dishonest ****s.

one big problem with Indiana the past 2 years...

the Hoosiers have done absolutely nothing outside the B1G

zero significant wins vs. non-conference teams

all their damage has been inside the league

same for Texas Tech this season

Jay Smith jumped in after Gordy & shut that nonsense down.

Gordy gives no mention to the fact that missouri lost to Alabama by only 3 points.

Doesn't mention the fact that we've had 3 road games in a row.

Doesn't mention that we beat Notre Dame, or Missouri on the road, or that we beat LSU so bad in death valley that they fired their coach & got the governor involved.

Ohio is a tough team, Alabama and others are also tough...but this Texas Aggie Football team is for real.

And what happened to Indiana last year?

They got beat in the first round.

And the same is going to happen to them this year.

They have not been tested all year and the CFP and not the schedule is where the rubber meets the road.

I compiled some rushing stats of Indiana's opponents played. They held most rushers under their game average but thats not saying much since their opponents have been bad... really bad... which contributes to the 6th ranking for defensive yards per game.

Indiana Opponent Rushing Rankings:
(YPG Rank, Last Name, School, YPG, Allowed by IU)

27, Allen, Penn St, 86.0, 48
55, Moulton, Iowa, 72.5, 75
56, Wittingham, Oregon 72.2, 27
65, Joseph (QB), Old Dom, 68.9, 179
94, Frazier, Mich St, 61.6, 1

No other rusher ranked above 162.

Compared to the Top 5 rushers A&M faced: 3rd, 5th, 8th, 19th, and 25th.

I haven't looked at the passing numbers.

I think he is a good coach. He is following Bill Snyder's at KSU. Stop being a buy game and beat up and nobodies outside of conference. Build confidence with guys that need a second chance.

Snyder was a great coach. If not in the CFB HOF, he should be. However, the formula is unlikely to win a title.
