Will be 94 next month. Was a fish in 1948. Our team was outscored in all of the first nine games. The Ags went to Austin for our 10th game and tied the Longhorns 14-14. That kept our season from being a complete disaster. If "next year" had not been a slogan before that, it became a slogan for many years.

We got our diplomas, commissions and diplomas on the same day and many of us were sent to Korea. My good friend and our yell leader Lew Jobe did not survive Korea. Missed seeing the Turkey Day game while in Korea, but did attend muster. Let's finish this regular season undefeated!

I was at the Cotton Bowl Jan 1st 1968 with my parents staying on the same floor with the team. We were good friends with Coach Bud Moore. Lots of football until Jan 1st 1986 Cotton Bowl {Was there too...Jackie and Company} Lots of ups and downs and many games over many years. My mom and dad are 94 now and not able to attend anything. Despise the sips and always have. Predicting a focused team and a real sip thrashing Friday night. Gig em!

46. I Was 13 when I went to my first and only game at DK in 1992. Some drunk frat boys knocked my A&M hat off at the concession stand luckily some good Ags were behind them and saw the whole thing. A fight broke out, the good guys won and I've hated them ever since.

I've been an Aggie for life and my family has had season tickets since the mid 80s. I was a student during the Jackie Sherrill years (84-88) when we never lost it tu and I remember the 1985 game when Stafford stood with his hands on his hips until we quieted down and then got pummeled. Still one of my top favorite moments in Kyle Field.

I remember the bonfire game and many of those since then in Austin and College Station.

I got a lot of hate. I want to beat the **** out of them.

I was at the 2010 game and that was great although it was cold as hell and I'll be there Friday.

By the way, here's the part with Stafford go to about the 23:30 mark where it starts and it's glorious.

I avoid temptation unless I can’t resist it.

Funny how both tv guys thought that there would eventually be a flag thrown on A&M or the stadium announcer would soon make an announcement warning the Aggies. Our fans really stood out as one of the few universities that could produce that much noise on the opposing offense.

Fast forward 15 years to today, and every university tries to do this to various levels of success, but none can do it like us.

Do I hate them? Sure, it's impossible not to. But I prefer the decade where we didn't play them to the time before that.

I hate lsu more, and I despise the fact that tu takes up so much free real estate in most Ag's brain. I hate the horns down crap unless we are actually playing them. I hate the fact that more ags would rather see tu fail than see A&M succeed. I'm already seeing the vestiges of the "as long as we beat tu its a successful season" garbage mentality take root again.

I'll be glad when this week is over, if anything so Aggie football can focus on Aggie football and not spending every waking minute thinking about tu and how we can find obscure ways to prove we are better in one form or fashion. We are better no matter what.

I want A&M to win and succeed and really don't care much about what happens outside of that bubble.

I hate tu more, but agree with all your points about the "real estate in most Ag's brains".

Class of 1993.

Honestly, I don't really care about sips anymore. Sure, game week, I'll join in as I am reminded yes, they are one of the (if not the) worst fan bases in college football. But they matter to me no more or less than other similarly awful fan bases out there (a la Notre Damn, Texas Tech and Colorado).

The 12 years in the SEC without them was nice. Never thought I would be saying this now as I was in full on rage from 1989 (when I started college) until 2011. I remember "original" Bonfire (yes, even in the final years it was near the Quad). I have the 1930 AMC vs TU football ticket in my grandmother's high school memory book (when she dated a CT at A&M). But now, honestly, I only get into the game the week of and just enjoy the nostalgia of this game. That's it.

And it's liberating. Don't give them that kind of power over you. They don't deserve it. Doing so, it actually goes beyond hating them. It consigns them to oblivion. And they hate that. They love to think the college football world revolves around them. They thought that back in the late 1980s and early 1990s (when we were beating them every year), thought that in the Big 12 (when they killed yet another conference) and they think that today.

I had a teasip ask me once if we still sang about them in the War Hymn when we were in the SEC without them. I simply responded "What do the words to Auld Lang Syne mean?" Pretty much sums it up for me.

First game at Austin was 1980 when we beat them with a mediocre, Tom Wilson-coached team.
Been there several times since. Hoping Friday night will be the one I remember the most.

I was very happy when we went to the SEC and didn't have to deal with them anymore. I don't want to have to play them and listen to them every year. Win or lose, it doesn't matter I just don't want to be around them. They're the family member I want to go no contact with.

Wasn't the 1990 game where we ran a 2 point conversion option to the short (right) side of the field AFTER sips hadn't stopped Darren Lewis all game when the option was run to the wide side of the field?

"From Gumbo to Tacos!" I recall the big sip D-lineman walking down the Track towards their locker room just shooting the Bird at us while we laughed at him.

We're 11-0 and everyone is talking about the SEC championship and going to the playoffs. We have to beat the sips to go to the SEC championship game, and we play the Horns this week.

Relax and try to enjoy the season we're having. Most of us will enjoy it more w/ a win in Austin on Friday, without trying to prove that we don't care about them.

Class of '65. The year the Aggies ran the Texas Special against t.u. in Kyle Field.
A backwards pass followed by a touchdown pass.

Rumor had it that Gene Stallings advised the ref's before the game that the play may be run so that there would not be an inadvertant whistle.

You must have very poor vision.

I"m not talking about this week on the obsession with tu. Game week it is completely understandable to talk about your opponent no matter who they are. But if you haven't seen one of the multiple thousands of threads focusing on tu over the last 13 years, all the way up through last week when we weren't playing them - yeah, not sure what to tell you. Folks don't see what they don't see I suppose.

Trust me, I'm enjoying the season immensely. It's been a hell of a run so far and I want the Ags to continue to succeed because who knows when we may see something like this again. I hope it's next year too, and the year after and the year after, etc. Would be a welcome change from our historical norm for sure.

Those aluminum bleachers had been so worn out by the late 90's that standing on them was one hell of a calf and leg workout - sometimes it felt like trying to balance on a board on a soccer ball. Good times.

Also from Class of '81. We lost in '77 and '78, but won the last 2. The '80 win was my all-time favorite. That was a rough year…lost to Rice and finished 4-7. Going into Austin, we were heavy underdogs but beat them 24-14. I was the only maroon fan amidst a sea of orange in their student section. Perfect weather and a perfect game. Curtis Dickey ran all over them.
