Lane said the AD wouldn't let him attend the team mtg.

Per my OM contact, leadership council asked to meet with AD before their meet with Kiffin. Then told the AD they didn't want to meet with him.

Om said somewhere that they didn't want him to coach if he was leaving. They thought he might try to poach some of their players. They're probably spot on with that reasoning.

And they were right. Only time I can remember a coach changing schools and still coaching post season was Saban allowing Kirby to remain as DC after he took the Georgia job. And Kirby later said if he had it t do over again, he would not remain DC. Said juggling both at the same time, nearly killed him, he was spread so thin.

And that was before transfer portals and early signings. It is impossible now to do two jobs now as somebody will get short shrift. And Kiffin just poached OM's DPP for recruiting. So which team would have been working for had Kiffin remained? Just too risky with people of low integrity.

These idiots would have absolutely no issue if the coach they wanted came to them in the same way Kiffin left. That's not a defense of Kiffin but a realistic take on fans of virtually ALL schools. They don't care what it takes to get a coach or to win -- ANYTHING is fair; lose a coach or even a game, and all hell breaks loose. In their mind, Kiffin doesn't have the right to leave -- they would have done the same thing if everything was above board.

I am not so sure, especially given the way schlossanass left here. I do still believe loyalty and character are valued among most collegian fan bases.

I would like to think Aggies aren't as bad, and while I'm glad we didn't pursue Kiffin the last time around (at least, not publicly), when Jimbo left FSU, there were people there who booed him (etc. -- emphasis on the etc.) on the way out. The feeling around here was, "don't care; got Jimbo..." Literally NO ONE here cared about Jimbo's character. I even brought up the whole Jameis Winston thing and while I wasn't necessarily shouted down, it was clear no one wanted to talk about it. "That's ancient history..." or whatever was the prevailing thought. Jimbo didn't cause the mess, or a hundred other excuses.

Were they the same EXACT situations? Of course not. But even when Schloss left TCU, at least to some extent, with some burned bridges behind him. Did we care? Going all the way back to Fran -- if we got our guy, the other school's loss was their problem. Can you give me one example over the last 2 decades where the fan base for a school HIRING a coach collectively said, "wait a minute; I don't like how this coach is leaving his previous school; let's rethink this...?" That Greg S. guy (I can't recall the name or school) who had his contract or offer rescinded had baggage -- it wasn't an issue about his leaving or the way he left. Ole Miss and their fan base welcomed Kiffin 5 years ago, knowing what he had done to Tennessee and other schools. Not caring one whit.

I value loyalty and character. It appears you do as well. But saying "most collegian fan bases" do is just plain wrong. They'll trade more wins and certainly a 10+ win season for a lying, cheating scumbag if that's what it takes.

To put it in the Kiffin vernacular, you can't have a ho without someone who's willing to pay for the trick. Likewise, if you paid for your trick, don't be pissed when they move on to the next one.

Just watched Kiffin's LSU press conference…

I'll say this. Thru will have a HUGE NIL presence. He did at Ole Miss.

I hope A&M will continue to succeed in NIL & also be prepared to increase their NIL structure.

Well I have been naive before.

Your probably right just look at our government at every level.
