If Ole Miss is keeping their offensive coordinator around after he has signed with LSU surely we can hold onto Klein for the playoffs at least
Really hope none of the offensive recruits that just signed were kept in the dark. That would be a very bad look. I'm sure they were informed yesterday - last night. Hope so.
That's a job he wont pass up if offered. Can't really blame him. Also think he will stay through the playoffs. Congrats man

Weis Jr is going to be a coordinator. Klein is going to be a Head Coach - doubtful that he sticks around. He has to assemble a staff and get to work building his program. Also doubtful that we were caught off guard with this, and maybe this explains some of last Friday...
the first thing players and recruits say about Elko is that he is completely honest and straightforward. I have no doubt every recruit knew about Klein and probably told who the next OC will be or at least a small group of names.KatyAggie2000 said:

Kinda shocked this site didn't break the news. It was posted on Premium with a link to an actual news article before any mention by the staff here.

He was just there a few years ago. Possible he keeps a lot of current guys and it is a pretty cohesive unit? I do think he'd be massively distracted - up to Elko to figure it out. I trust that he will make the best decision, but we might have very limited options if the decision is no Klein for playoff.

Bring back Jumbo? Bwahahahaha. Seriously, I have no idea. I don't know the experience level of play calling on this staff. Agree, Klein will need to bolt as his role is HC not OC, and I fully get it. I am curious how Elko manages the playcalling/offensive gameplan.

He is not ripe yet. He might know offense, but he doesn't know running a staff, working boosters, media obligations, recruiting defense and a bunch of other things a big time head coach needs to know. I guess K State is just identifying themselves as a stepping stone program where young coaches go to cut their teeth. Ok. Good luck to CK and them.
Oh noes, might as well forfeit, if the committee doesn't drop us out of the rankings

How would you know?
He may never have the opportunity to go home again, but it can also go poorly and then the one place that loves you doesn't.
