Biggest issue to me is that Klein is not fully committed and dedicated to the Ags during CFP preparation and gameday.

Easy to get distracted and focus more team that you will HC next year and it needs a ton of portal and recruiting effort.

I hope I'm wrong but this could also explain a poor offensive showing last Friday as Klein has definitely been in these talks prior to this week. I don't blame him personally but very difficult to remain 100% locked in on a team that you are leaving in just a few more weeks.

I mean it's really not a "gut punch". I think we all expected him to land a HC job.

Well, since it looks like Klieman is going to stick around to finish out the year, if Klein is going to keep that coaching staff then I'm not worried about him being distracted in playoffs. The best pitch he can do to get players interested in K State is to make a huge run. I doubt any A&M recruits are going to jump down a few rings on the ladder.

The only thing to worry about is if he gets too close to the end of the portal season. But again, the staff at K State should still be doing their jobs.

You think CK was distracted? He didn't have to interview. He was ALWAYS part of the Snyder succession plan. Snyder groomed him for this role.
