I hope it happens but the committee is too chicken s*** to do it.
In that scenario, the CFP would happily take the opportunity to put Miami and Notre Dame into the playoffs.

Came here to post the same thing. Would it then be #9 ND and #10 Miami? Which would match us up against Miami. Or would they finally move Miami ahead of ND to #9 because of the HTH win over ND? But that would put us in a rematch with ND, so they might put Miami at 10 to avoid that.

Think they are next year. Odd how the tie breaker stuff is anyway. We have an equal record with one and one more win than the other because we lost to the dam sips.

10-2 Bama was in, so if you chunk 10-3 Bama out, you're incentivizing missing the championship game (because A&M, Ole Miss & OU will all be in after MISSING the game).
If that happens to the B10 or the SEC, they'll burn the CFP to the ground.
