this right here. I told my uncle about halfway thru the season...if we show up for 4 quarters we can and likely will beat anyone....we show up for 3 quarters and it's going to be close....2 quarters and we lose (which turned out almost true with south carolina but thankfully they suck big time).

now at playoff level....show up 3 quarters and we're looking at the texas score or worse.

I hope they figure it out somehow...but I thought they would after the scar game

People don't say this enough....Marcel needs to run and run often in the playoffs. Offense so much better when he runs which is his strength.

Also, the D needs to bring pressure on Beck.

This is how I see the matchup with Miami. The key to the winning is us having success running the ball. We need the offensive line and RBs to play with great physicality, not like the last couple SEC games. If the offense stalls and we are forced into third and long often then it will play right into Miami's strengths. I think our defense will give up explosives like they have all season so the offense has to play well. If we run the ball well then we will control the game and win.

We were averaging 4.5 yards per carry with Smith and Owens. It wasn't that we couldn't run. It's that we didn't run.

Yes we need the play caller to stay committed to the run, I agree and everyone that saw the tu game does too. But Owens did not have a good game and EJ needs more carries. I didn't see a lot of push by the oline against texas or south carolina. They've played much better earlier in the season and that's what we need against Miami.

Owens did fine 3.7 yards a carry. Almost busted one or two but couldn't stay upright. Smith averaged 6.8 per carry. But for whatever reason they stopped running. It's about the fourth quarter. That's when you'll see the results. They won a lot of games last year by just simply running it down people's throats. I thought that would be the formula this year. With a the same o line and a stable of backs.

Whelp, guess we shouldn't play the game then

It all depends on Klein and especially how he utilizes our RBs.
