I LOVE my Ags. And I am all in with the Kool Aid but watching teams like these two play really helps put things in perspective. It's easy to sit back and say "we got a natty coming this year!". But seeing the difference between what we just watched and A&M really helps me understand that it's a pipe dream. The level these guys play at isn't even in the same realm. What I can't understand is why we can't get there…ever….after repeated tries. I just don't get that part.

Agree. If anybody watched this game and think the Ags are anywhere close to this level of play, it's just pure sunshine and maroon glasses. Elko better load up in the portal and hope his comfy hires work out.

Please supply mops for you and all the other bleeders. Indiana got dog walked in the first round at home last year and look at them now.

They weren't stuck with a sub-par QB like we are

It is so damn apparent in these bowl games. There was no way we were going to compete at this level this year. I bleed Maroon and will till the day I die, but Aggies also don't lie.

We are watching complete or nearly complete teams go at it. Simple as that. We have never been a complete team since Johnny left. It takes all three phases. We MIGHT get hot and a championship level at one of them at a time. Then the rest invariably fail that one. Offense, defense, special teams. We can't lock down all of them at once. Infuriating but it's plain as day. Small comfort in knowing there is about 128+ teams that are also in that rut.

We were not a complete team when Johnny was here. Johnny covered several warts. We had one decent running back. The secondary was average. The d-line lacked depth. The program didn't reload after the losses from his first year.

One transcendent player can keep your team in every game. Baylor in 2011 and Boston College in 1984 had some thrilling 3 loss seasons for their fans. Tennessee this season played a very entertaining brand of football,, but they were abused multiple times by their lack of physical play.

Why can't we do this?

Why can't we do ANY of this???

Because our O-Line is cheap tissue paper, designed to lose its structural integrity almost immediately upon contacting the opponent. We may as well stop yelling "HIKE" and start yelling "RETREAT". QB has zero time to run progressions, and handoff to an RB without a line is futile.

Our trench could make Fernando Mendoza look like Braxton Miller.
Life is like riding on a train while they're still building the rails...and the train.

Good grief get the hell out.

What did you see that was different than what this poster said?

He literally said we are "not in the same realm" as these teams.

We were a play away from taking Miami into OT. Miami didn't take the lead until 2 minutes left in the game. They didn't do squat on offense until 4 minutes left in Q4. They had some FG attempts because of our mistakes which gave them a short field. We had 21 first downs, they had 12. We went 8/18 on third downs. They were 3/12. We had 75 plays, they had 49. We had 8 minutes more TOP. The difference was our self inflicted mistakes, especially the two by Reed. Take those away and we win that game. Our level of play is not in the same realm as the final four, but we dominated Miami statistically?! Had Miami beaten us like they did Ohio State, I'd agree. It's nonsense.

Ohio State outgained Miami and was a holding penalty away from taking the lead in that game.
