Part of me wishes this team got a little more respect but the other part thinks that Cabrera has done a fantastic job of using the fact they aren't talked about more to his advantage in building an "us against them" team mentality. All of these players parrot Cabrera's mindset and I think they are all better players for it.

They need to win on the road and not choke at him during the playoffs before we should starting calling for respect.

Now you say we performed misberly (not a word) in the playoffs last year, which is just objectively wrong (assuming that misberly means poorly).

The Dynamo made the Western Conference Championship last year and just beat Atlanta United 4-0. We're all riding high right now. Sorry for the spelling mistake! I am huge Dynamo fan and go to all the games(season ticket holder). I even saw them play the Galaxy last year in LA where we got robbed by an offside goal at the end...My whole point is the whole we get no respect is nothing but whining we don't win on the road and had a horrible playoff series against Seattle, sorry if I bring some objectivity to the sunshine pumping .

However, if you will calm down and stop arguing with everyone I will accept that you are in fact a true Dynamo fan and not a troll since you brought up that offside LA Galaxy goal by Alessandrini. Only a real fan would remember that and still be pissed. XD

This is an excellent point; Cabrera has been awesome. However, I will say that Cabrera's constant lineup tinkering and yes, uninspiring road record last year are two areas I'd like to see improved upon this year.

Last year I frequently felt like our formation and personnel choices on the road were big parts of why we were such a different team than we were at home. I get the whole "win at home, don't lose on the road" mentality, but I felt like we had no identity on the road. I think we need to trust in who we are more this year.

A big part of that, hopefully, is going to be solved by regularly starting Manotas and Elis. Last year you could hardly predict who our starting forwards were going to be in any given week. With Cubo gone, Manotas has no competition for the center forward spot. I'm excited to see what these two can do when they get more consistent time playing together.

On the left wing, I don't feel like things are quite as clear, but right now I want to see Manotas and Elis starting every game unless they need rest.

Last time I talked to him was right after he moved from Orlando to Vancouver and he was very happy with the move. They let him have way more freedom down the left like it was when he was in Dallas compared to Orlando and Stoke.

Good news is that for 60 minutes this team looked like a team who knew how to play with the ball and created a ton of chances. The bad news is they didn't make enough of them and spent the last 30 minutes looking lost in possession just like Last season.
