Someone (maybe Grant Wahl) posted the expected goal percentage for his attempt and it was 80%. He asked why there was even 20% doubt and the first reply was exactly what I would have said.

Enjoyed seeing the road support shots after each goal, too.
It was surprisingly large. I believe there's a sizable Honduran population in Chicago so that probably helped but wouldn't be surprised if more than a few made a special trip to Chicago for it.

Was an enjoyable win last night but concessions lines were reminiscent of Kyle Field - easily the longest I've waited in the last 8.5 years of Dynamo games.

That set piece defending that led to RSL's winning goal was the worst I've ever seen. I've never seen a player be given time to chest down a cross in the 6 yard box FROM A CORNER. Ridiculous.

I actually really like getting young talent for cheap from South America. If we develop them, succeed, and sell them for a profit to bigger leagues, we'll be seen as a destination for good, young talent. That's not a bad thing.

Anyone know what the story is with Cabezas? Is he out for the year or something? He got injured in the 1st game and effectively hasn't been back since. We miss him a lot. Ceren being out as well didn't help matters...at least he's back.

I love it. It's the easiest path (imo) to the CCL, which is something I miss and really want to have again.
I love it for that reason and I love it because ignoring the competition always seemed so small time. A great club should be striving to advance on every. single. front. MLS, US Open Cup, academy...you name it. And let's face it, like it or not the US Open Cup is, by far, the 2nd most important trophy a MLS club has a realistic chance of winning. Ignoring it always rubbed me the wrong way and showed how much the club lacked ambition.

Yeah, I turned it off after that call. If these guys are going do this, I'm not watching MLS. And I used to be a season ticket holder for 6 years too.
Horrible calls happen in every league. More so in MLS maybe but not by a factor of 10 of anything.
What MLS is amazing at is doubling down on their mistakes. Guarantee they support the call, the ref, and the process after the dust settles. That's what separates them from the crap into the extremely crap.
