I can't believe I am going to say this, but we really missed Cubo out there.

There were so many crosses that just fizzed across the net begging for a simple touch.

We surely would have seen the robot 2 or 3 times yesterday.

I was at the game again this week and that was a horribly disappointing result. Even Vancouver fans on Reddit are saying we were the better team yesterday. I did think the officiating was awful, especially with regard to penalties, but we have to finish some chances. And good lord do we need corner practice.

That really really sucks. He was a great beat reporter for the Dynamo. Miles better than the acclaimed Ortiz. Hope he lands on his feet somewhere.

As you may know, Dom is an assistant on Sigi Schmid's staff in LA. That means Dom is coaching Zlatan.

I think there might be a personality clash.

At one of my coaching stops, I missed out on coaching Dom's son by a year. Part of me is sad about that, but another is thankful I dodged that bullet.

I'm 99% sure he would've only derided your coaching ability behind your back and never to your face.

He would have fit right in then.

Dynamo sign 24 year old Swedish left back Adam Lundqvist. Played for Sweden in the Olympics and has a few caps with the full national team. I'm assuming this is in preparation for Beasley leaving/retiring at the end of the year. Would like to see Remick get more playing time at LB but depth isn't a bad thing.

And apparently we acquired Luis Gil on loan from Queretaro 3 days ago which is a thing I missed because I have a 7 month old and we don't have a beat writer for the team anymore. Miss you Corey.

Gil is another player who had a lot of hype and talent as a teenager but hasn't lived up to it. My guess is that he'll be serviceable at best but never integral.

A (kind of) oversized LB with competent (but not great) speed that's a huge threat on corners...

But he's serviceable and cheap. The money being paid there could be better spent upgrading at forward.

According to Mr. Davis, Dynamo have real interest in bringing Fernando Torres to MLS. Supposedly he wants to play in the league and wants to play in a warm weather city. Dynamo are third on the allocation list with Chicago and Montreal ahead of them...neither of which can be considered a warm weather city. At least not year round.

Personally, I say pass. He's 34 and he's no Zlatan. Zlatan put up 20+ goals last season in a top league. Torres has scored double digits once in 7 years. He was great at Liverpool but hasn't been great since. I'd guess he'd want a hefty pay check at multiple millions of $ a year and I don't think his effect o. The field or the stands would warrant it.

Honestly, if Chicharito has any interest in leaving the hell that is West Ham, I'd go full throttle on that. Pay double what Torres would cost, it would be worth it on the field and in the stands. Of course I highly doubt the owners would invest that kind of money and it's less likely that Chicharito would move to MLS at this point. At 29, his days playing in Europe are numbered and a move away means he probably doesn't make it back in his career.

Houston is definitely warm...
