Numbers up top does not equate to goals. Conte is known for getting the most out of a team that will do what he tells them to. He might play some older guys that understand what he wants over young talent but the days of 11 guys jogging around without a clear plan and purpose are done. He will train attacking movement until it is second nature while also putting three at the back who will be defensively sound.
He's been known to move wingers back to WB (think Moura or even Bergwijn), and defend with three CBs with a sitting DM in front of them. That DM will be asked to sweep up but also dictate play from the back, maybe GLC or Skipp (or hopefully Kessie soon). With him would be two box to box midfielders asked to do a bit of everything.
The current roster lends itself very well to this set up skill wise. The question will be fitness and application. They are going to be asked to do a lot more than they are currently giving.
Besides all of that on the field, where he has won everywhere, he's also a crazy SOB who will keep the press conferences and touchline a must see. This is a huge coup. He wins and even at the international level has shown he not only can, but will get more out of a group than the sum of their parts. He also has the international resume to attract many of the great talents about to be out of a contract.
At the very least, I'm excited to watch Spurs again!

Damn who wouldn't be excited to watch them after reading this? I think he could be the guy to bring some silverware back to Tottenham and I can't wait to see what he does with the roster.
And you will be pleased if you check out the 1st 30 minutes of today's match.Socrates05 said:
Agreed. No expectations this year besides enjoyable soccer and a clear plan developing.
#thfc scored more goals (2) in 22 minutes under Antonio Conte than they achieved (1) in their last 405 minutes for Nuno Espírito Santo. [Richard Jolly]
