Have no clue why anyone would ever want to sell Lucas. The guy is an absolute pro. He's pretty much always the hardest worker on the team and is shockingly good in the air for his size.
Then throw in him being responsible for our best moment in the last 20 years and he's a legend.

another big game tomorrow....it will be interesting to see what lineup conte goes with considering we just played on sunday....do we rest kane and/or son? maybe bring them on in the 2nd half if things aren't going our way?

BS offsides call. At worst case Kane was dead even with the guy. Maybe his shoulder was slightly ahead of another guys shoulder 30 yards across the field.... come on seriously. Ridiculous.

Should absolutely be 3-1 now if not for awful decisions from ref/VAR but the play against 10 men has just not been good enough. No answer for the deep defense.

I don't understand the wussification of the goalkeepers. I thought the Schmeichel call was bs a few weeks ago...and this one was total bs as well. The assumption that the goalkeeper has first rights to every ball in the air and on the ground is weird to me.

It's funny how a player with clear advantage (ability to use their hands) gets the calls over players who cannot. It's a 50/50 ball and he did not have possession at all.

Worse than the offsides. Touching the ball with one finger does not constitute control.

There is absolutely no way to determine exactly when the ball was touched. None. These lines to the millimeter are ridiculous because of that fact.

This is true. Plenty good enough for the win today, just confirmation of what we already knew needed to be addressed moving forward. This team is built to break but doesn't have another option when the defense is compact.

Completely different from we didn't deserve anything today. They played well enough for the win regardless of how pretty it was. We can't expect pretty game in game out. To gut out a win on the road on two days rest is more than enough and the players did enough for that.

They scored from running onto balls over the top and a terrible keeper error. Enough to win today, sure. Not a plan B going forward.

I've concluded they need to just use the feet.

It's the simplest thing and does away with needing to create any line from some point to the ground as the feet are on the ground already generally.

I don't care if the offensive player is leaning of course he is, he is running that way, defenders should have to consider that instead they get an added advantage by moving the other way. Remove that and you make them have to play more honest.

If the players feet are not past the last players feet it is onsides. Simple.

Sure I know but it's usually not more than +1 or so of the posted added time. Not like there were long stoppages in added time except the goal celebration and that did not exceed 1 minute.

Just seemed excessive. Had they posted +10 I would not have objected.

My guess is the center. thought it was a lot more than the 4th did.
